    Hi,

Recently all the contacts in my address book were spammed. Suspecting that a bot or something had accessed my address book, I tried to change my password. Turns out the only way to change it is to ring up and tell them the new password I want. Surely this is ridiculous - is there any reason they don't have a secure on-line mechanism for changing password? I emailed to say I wasn't too happy about ringing up to tell a stranger my password, and they suggested I email it to them instead. Brilliant.

In this day and age and with all the concerns over identity theft etc, this is frankly astounding. Has anyone else had similar issues? I intend to cancel my email account and migrate to a different provider.

EDIT: Sorry, this might be better in Security thread. Mod?

    cheers,
    spacebot
