    hi guys,

i just joined Northwood gym this morning along with 2 other boardsiee's to avail of the 3 for 2 offer.

on our first visit which will be tuesday for me, they will go through a programe set up for us.

i am now looking for advice on diet, and menu's etc.

i play 5 a side football with me mates on monday evenings for an hour which is basically an hour of running about i suppose, and i also play for my football tem which train on thursday evenings, which would include light jogging, ballwork and some exercises and finsh off with a 20-30min game of ball.

then on satuarday afternoons we play our league games.

so im filling in the blanks during the week by using the gym, to loose the belly, build up strength and fitmess levels.

should i wait until after tuesday so i can fill in more blanks ie what program the trainer has me on etc etc

and outline exactly what i do day to day etc etc

    thanks for listening :D
    keith.

Your trainer in gym should sit down with you and explain what you need to do to achieve your goals.
Establish your goals and people on this board or the trainer can tell you how to achive them.
Remember you need recovery time too after playing a full match on a saturday.
Work out what you want. lower body fat? more strength for competing in matches? more speed for matches? more stamina for matches?more flexibility
? or just want to look better!
Estblish the goals first and set some benchmarks for yourself to acheive

OP could you do me a massive favour and post back your opinions on the setup, trainers etc. at Northwood after Tuesday? I know of 3 others thinking very seriously about taking that 3 person offer and they're looking for feedback. I have to say it's great deal, 250 bills for 14 months.

northwood is great. i'm competing in a show in sept so i seem to be spending alot of time there. i also have a membership for total fitness, and the more extreme powerhouse. but so far northwood is better. its alot cleaner than the other gym's that are part of the group. but all good.
