Im just back from a 2 month layoff from a knee injury and now im looking to get back into it in a big way. Last 2 weeks ive been doing some running - up to about 3 miles in distance, but im slow off the mark and my leg is tired after running it. Im trying to do 2 things, increase my pace significantly and get back all the strength in my leg and also to increase my distance so that im back running what i had been before i got injured, up to half marathon level. Anyone got any programmes or advice for running after coming back from injury. Im aiming at 8th of september to be fully fit again with a 1 week holiday in between

Although it's not really a recovery suggestion, more of a preventitive one, you might want to consider taking calcium supplements. I've been plagued with injuries since I started serious running last year but since the start of the year I've been taking Calcia calcium tablets every day and I haven't had a single injury since.
