DAA are offering a rate of €7 per day in their long-term car park if you pre-book online. This beats Quickpark's rate which is currently €7.50 per day.

DAA are also offering a rate of €20 per day in their short-term park if you pre-book and stay over a Saturday night.

Bookings must me made a minimum of 48hrs before your departure date. Just in the nick of time :)

    Thanks taung.

I was caught out with this a few weeks ago, did'nt know about the online discount. It cost me 76 euros for 7 days, I was charged 8 days because I dropped it off at 4am, but did'nt pick it up until 9am the same day a week later!!!

    Nice one.
Glad to see a bit of competition.
Quick used to be keen but their rates have been creeping up recently.
Love to see a price war, as I park there quite often.

Was this not an offer, due to finish end of june? Looks like its a full time thing now, which is good i guess

I find it easier just to park at the bewleys airport hotel and get the shuttle. It's 50c or so more expensive a night but i prefer leaving my car there than in the long term car park.

Yep I use Bewleys too... Can't fault it. Shuttle bus every 15 mins to Departures.

Parking at the Great Southern and Clarion is pretty much the same as the long term price and they both have a shuttle bus that takes about 5 minutes to reach the airport. Downside is their buses are smaller than the Bewleys one so sometimes you end up having to wait for the next one :(

Only realised you could park there when I was delayed last year and one of people we were with suggested grabbing the shuttle bus down to grab a coffee instead of bring stuck airside for two hours ;)

+1 for Bewleys. I used to use Quickpark but I got soaked too often, walking from the car to the bus stop. Bewleys is underground and out of the elements.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,602 ✭✭✭ShayK1

just to clarify, this offer is for the "official" airport long term car parks?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,473 ✭✭✭Roddy23

How much is Bewleys for the day?

Thanks for that lads, heading of soon and its nice to save a few quid.

I had my car parked in the DAA long term car park for 2 weeks last november. I arrived back to find my car had been hit. I went over to the control centre to find no one was there so I took photos and reported it the next day.

After numerous phone calls and promisses that they would call me back they never did. Most of the car park is not covered by CCTV. It cost me 300 euros to fix.

I now use the underground car park at Bewleys. :)

    8 Euro.

Only problem with Clarion is that it can be packed. On the upside, if you do not have to much luggage its only a 5 min walk from the terminal :D Oh and the shuttle is not regular. There is a phone you at arrivals that you use to call for it.

I do work there so i have a load of free exit passes. I hve not used it though as i found it easier to leave my car at my parents house in Palmerstown and have them drop me over and bring me back when we go away. I offer to pay my dad (taxi driver) the fare but he said just bring me to the movies etc. So its cheaper that way.

this is irrelevant but I have to tell ye: stayed a night in Bewley's by airport. Ordered a wine at the bar - ground floor. The barman, based on what I saw of the colour of his skin, and from his accent, bone structure etc., I decided he was Indian or Pakistani. Dimwit beside me is talking too loudly so I ask barman "sorry, did you say 4.50 or 4.95?" Barman doesn't bat an eyelid "4.95 mas é do thoil é" in an accent I would hear on TG4. Well done that man! (Can't do 'a' fada - he pronounced it though).

Hope I'm not banned for racism now

I'm away for 3 weeks from Dublin Airport in August, are there any hotels etc where I can get away with leaving my car (ie free car park)?

Even bewleys etc it would be 100 for a room (I need one anyway) then 180 for the car park!

If I could get a room for 100 and park the car for free, pay 20 for cabs, I'm 160 up.

You won't get soaked if it's raining
Shuttle comes pretty regularly day or night
There's no gravel to make bit of your tyres

Dont mean to be smart, but why not leave your car at home? Get a taxi/bus to airport

I am surprised that no on has queried the brass neck of the DAA, a public body, charging tht kind of money, just paid €140 for 14 days in CORK airport for Gods sake.....

Because the taxi is just as dear and there isn't always a viable bus option.
Taxi from Dublin Southside to airport is 50euro each way minimum

Can you get a taxi to a stop on the www.aircoach.ie route? Would be a lot cheaper than getting a taxi all the way to the airport. Aircoach runs 24 hours by the looks of things.

    Thanks guys,
Patton flyer or aircoach not really suitable as coming from Templeogue area. I think there is a service from the square SC. Have to check it out.

WTF? Templeogue is 5km from Leeson Street (the only Aircoach stop i've used, i'm sure there are others even closer to Templeogue). A taxi would cost you about ten euro..

As for your statement that a taxi from where you live to the airport being "50 euro each way minimum" - absolute nonsense.

I got a taxi to the airport at 5am a few months ago, from the Rathgar area it cost me 23 euro. You're only up the road from there...

I have receipts for €45 to and from airport from last year. I doubt if the price has come down.

    Anyway back to the aircoach.
2 people to and fom airport in aircoach is €30 euro return + taxi fare to and from bus stop is another 20 euro. 50 euro. total. Now flight comes in at 22.30.
For the sake of another 30 euro it's probably less hassle to bring the car to the LT park.
The bus would want to be very convenient to make it worthwhile.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,846 ✭✭✭✭eth0_

45 euro you were either sitting in one hell of a traffic jam or you were ripped off. I don't think i've ever paid more than 30 euro to the airport even at busy times!

Use xpert taxi's, that's who I always use.

The Dublin Airport Authority plc (DAA) is an airport management company. Principal activities include the management, operation and development of Dublin, Cork and Shannon airports in Ireland, domestic and international airport retail management, and airport investment.

Ah, fair enuff. Have been out of the loop since i left Ireland, was pretty sure though they were independent since they absorbed that €113 million euro debt and the board threatened to quit including Joe Gantly who was running Apple Computers in Cork at the time. He did actually quit back in April though anyway.

Since they are a management company, I recon the proceeds from parking revenue would go to cork airport anyway.

I was at Dublin Airport yesterday and noticed a shuttle bus advertising parking for €3 a day! flybus.ie I'm guessing you also have to pay fares on the shuttle bus in addition to the parking charges but if you are heading off for a long trip the savings should be worth it.

Its €8 for an adult single. One word of warning would to allow plenty of time, i have seen the little bus in heavy traffic on the m50, it leaves at the ballymun exit around the back of the airport.

It has a live tracking function which is very handy.

Reading their website they say they will relieve you from the stress of parking at the airport.

Do people really get stressed about parking at the airport? It's probably one of the least stressful things I could think of.

Bewleys Hotel at the Airport have now introduced an online offer of €7 per day. With the free shuttle to the airport this is a good deal!

I will need to park 4 to 5 times at Dublin Airport over the next year.
the stays will vary from 2 days to 12 days!

Does anyone know of any frequent user deals?

    Is DAA online the cheapest?

It's not a good deal, it's just matching what the DAA have been offering for months which itself is an just about the max you would want to be paying.

It may not be a better deal than DAA but shuttle to the airport and underground parking for the same price wins it for me :)

Bewleys had previously been offering the €7 fee and free shuttle for a couple of years, before raising it recently to €8.
