hi, i was just looking to buy my b/f a present of a speedometer since hes really into his running, and i was just wondering does anyone know where i can get a good one, that measures speed, distance etc...????

i have heard of the Fitsense FS-1 Speedometer which i think looks quite good, does anybody know if this model is available in ireland or if there is something similar out there??

i know there is a nike one that u can hook up to your ipod or something but he doesnt have an ipod so thats kind of out.

if anyone could help i would really appreciate it, running out of time to find him a good present!!

I have a Suunto that I absolutely love and can recommend - www.irishfit.eu/suuntorunningpack.htm

the Polar rs 400sd is a heart rate monitor that can record distance speed and lots more and allows you to upload it to computer. You get all the software with the watch.

I think you need to but the foot pod separately(the bit that records the speed and distance) it laces onto top of shoe.

They are relatively expensive but it'd be the best training tool he could wish for. Ireland is quite expensive for Polar watches.UK is better value.

http://www.polar.fi/en/products/running don't buy outside the RS because they are the running specific ones.

The lowest in the RS range will be missing important features. So if they are too expensive for a present don't go for a cheaper version.

Also some people have an irrational dislike of HRMs.
