CHLs Friday the 11th of July
Ok folks you have read the thread from Mick Locke, This Friday CHLs is closing. It's a pity this place didn't take off as I quite enjoyed the athmosphere whenever I played there plus the loyal and friendly staff made it extra special. So I think we should all make a special effort to go to CHLs this Friday and support their final event plus to wave a hopeful temporary farewell to the staff. I had planned on a drinking session but I'm cancelling it now.

I will be there and hope to see everyone else in there this Firday

It was changed over the last couple of weeks to a 7 o clock start.

I'll try to add some dead money to this.

Just so you all know, if I'm in the hand it's a good idea to fold. I only ever open UTG with Aces and KK/QQ/JJ from later positions. If I bet the flop it means I have a set. If the board pairs on the flop and I check, it means I hit quads, I never chase a draw, so if I'm calling I've aleady made it, and if I come over the top of you, it means I have the nuts and you should call or push ... please.

Now, you've all been warned. (hehe, final table guaranteed)

If that's not enough to help identify me, I'll be the guy wearing the tee-shirt with "iNIT to wiNIT" on the front.

I'd love to make it down - as i'm heading to the Dublin direction tonight and fancy a game somewhere, so it would nice to experience CHL before it closes unfortunately.

Is it 18+ to get in?

What other facilities do it have except poker and does it have online or internet stations in it?

Also what's the structure like for €100 game ...are there cash games on throughout the night ...and what time will it remain open until - before closure?

Cheers

7,500 starting chips and the best structure in town for the money.
There will be cash games, and I would imagine the doors will close on Saturday morning when the last cash game finishes up.

There's no more internet poker, as the basement has been cleared out.
And yes, 18+ is a requirement.

...and just 2 more things that I can think of off the top of my head.

Is it dealer dealt ?

...and how many runners does it normally attract - even though I know it should be more tonight due to it being it's last ever tournament.

Just in from this. The place was buzzing all night. 40 + for the tourney. Another great night in Luke's, just a shame it was the last.

Didn't get in for the sat 'cause some stuff came up in my home life. Hope it was a good night anyway.

Is that the same Tommy people are always complaining about on here? The guy with the equally scummy son?

I don't understand why such people aren't permanently barred from every cardroom in the city, it's not like such people will be dragging a load of other good customers with them.

Quite the opposite in fact. I avoid Tommy whenever possible. One of only 3 people I refuse to play with.

Is tommy overweight with a beard? Is his son chubby as well?

I would have to agree with Doc Farell on this one. Harsh but true. I know the guy he is talkin about and it's just a disgrace how a couple of ppl got away with talking to others in there.
