Perfectly normal, you have simply gained muscle and lost fat at the same rate. I have been ~12stone myself for well over a year and got thinner all the time.

This is a perfect example as to why a weighing scale is a poor measure of body composition. Get some other measurements, bicep, waist, chest etc, take photos too, these are far better for tracking progress. Your gym might also be able to give you a body fat % reading, this should be done with calipers. If they come out with a thing you stand on, or hold, just ignore it.

Well done on the FAT loss, there is no doubt you have lost a fair bit if you can notice it. Do not worry about weight, it is extremely beneficial to build muscle as it will raise your metabolism and really aid your fat loss, and keeping it off.

Muscle is also denser than fat, 1lb of muscle is aroud the same volume as 3lb of fat, so though you are the same weight you take up less volume. Add that to the fact that muscle will go on in the "right" places, and fat is lost from the "wrong" places, and it can dramatically change your appearance, even at the same weight. I have had people tell me "you have lost loads of wieght since I last saw you", when in fact I had put on a little bit.

Yep I would say stay off the scales. I read something during the week and they were comparing people who took part in a diet program (weight watchers or something), and people who went to the gym. They said that the people in the diet class lost more weight, but the lost the wrong kind of weight, the actually ended up losing muscle mass and stuff. So although they lost weight they kept the fat. While the people in the gym lost less weight or no weight they lost a lot of fat which is much more beneficial to your over all health.

    So I would say
    A) stay off the scales
    B) if you have noticed a difference you have improved your health, fitness and I'm guessing appearance. Well done.
    c) if you want get a bf measurement but I think the best way is to use photos. Those bf measurements can vary widely depending on how they take them, and who takes them. Using photos you can see how your appearance has changed over time. Try find an old photo now and compare I bet you will be amazed at the difference.

True. Not only is not good for your health, but it'll give you that horrible skinny fat look too.

Agree with everyine, take pics and look at measurements. Weight is not a decent indicator, I weight the same now as I did ages ago but jeans are falling off me now,

And keep up the good work :D

The fact that your mot losing weight would tell me your not undereating!

but based on what you wrote and your weight it sounds like your not eating enough!

I believe your leaving stuff out, or else your portions must be huge, on this diet you will not be gaining muscle, but may be losing fat!

Just to add 1 little thing! in 2 weeks you would not gain much muscle no matter what you do, so if you lost 4 pounds of fat through great eating and training, there's no way you would of gained 4 lbs of muscle, 4lbs of muscle is huge!, you'd be 4 lbs lighter, i suspect your just becoming firmer and still a similar fat level-if fat loss is your goal you should try to lose weight, otherwise it tends to be hit and miss in most cases..

Simple answer is muscle is heavier than fat.You lose, lets say a pound of fat rather quickly but your putting on muscle slowly so a small amount of muscle= a good amount of fat in weight. You will be lighter on the scales in the long term but for now the muscle will just even out the fat youve lost.
