Wow that's a surprise. Wonder what that's for?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,594 ✭✭✭Fozzy

Agh, why? He's great. I guess they don't want a guy who looks like him. I really liked him

I wonder what he'll do now. I'd like to see him head back to Japan for a few shows

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,767 ✭✭✭Minto

He must have done something big to deserve it!

What the hell?! That's a bit of a surprise!

Is why they split him and Cade up or is it just a coincindence?

He did, he was a fugly bastid! :D
Now... all we need is for them to keep the ball rolling and fire that freaky midget, Hornswoggle before he ruins the credibility of Finlay for good!

    VR!

He must have given a bad review to the Smackdown locker room of Triple H's performance in Blade Trinity.

Something smells queer, and i'm not talking about you Pat Patterson. Murdoch was only drafted only a couple of days ago.

Jindrak and Kenzo Suzuki were released the week after a draft one year. I think some others were too

He really didn't have the look for the WWE but I have no doubt if they pushed his singing gimmick, maybe with Gillian he would have gone over

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,424 ✭✭✭fatal

After they split murdoch and cade it never really seemed like they knew what to do with either of them.Still though, its a bit of a shock.I thought that murdoch would have been around for a while

Maybe someone in the office realised the Canadian Destroyer is a ridiculous move in the context of a wrestling match?

Murdoch's never done the Canadian Destroyer. He's done a sunset flip powerbomb, which is a more realistic move than the Canadian Destroyer

Alot of good finishers are. Lionsault, Green Bay Plunge, Bronco Buster, Stylez Clash etc., most don't look as impressive as the Canadian Destroyer or the Sunset Flip

I feckin hated Essa Rios, I remember one of his bigger moves was to get on the top rope bounce up and down on it doing all sorts of tricks then do a feckin armbar from it. I remember my mates going Woah that's cool isn't it, NO ITS A FECKIN ARMBAR....

Not really, maybe he wants to tour the world for a while and become a better wrestler. He is a student of Harley Race.

    From his Myspace:
Howdy some unfortunate news...this is the hardest decision I have ever had to make

I have some thing to tell you guys and I wanted ya'll to be the first to hear it...I tried very hard out of the respect I have for her privacy and not wanting her to be exposed in any negative light but I have a 7yr old tractor that needs a fixin' I can't be on the road with WWE when my machinery needs me...

Don't know why people think he had to have done something wrong for him to be released. Creative probably had nothing for him, sohe was just taking up space in the locker room and on the balance sheet.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Deuce and Domino released now that they have split up.

Yet another thing goes over VR's head.

Its odd, he had the potential to get over as a goofy face/heel with his singing gimmick like Santino.

None of these are as ridiculous as the Canadian Destroyer (and Murdoch's move was still a version of it). The Lionsault is fine, the wrestler uses the springs of the ropes and a back-flip to maximise momentum and impact on one's opponnent. The Styles Clash is fine aswell. I'm proud to say I don't know what a Green Bay Plunge is. And the Bronco Buster isn't good or a finisher.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,348 ✭✭✭Double C

If you are giving out about the Canadian Destroyer because the person taking the move has to do all the work jumping for it, you had better take a look at the powerbomb, the cholkeslam, standard power slams etc because they are all the same, the person taking the move has to jump for it for the move to work.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Deuce and Domino released now that they have split up.

    Maybe one of them anyway...
After his recent split from tag team partner Deuce, SmackDown star Clifford "Domino" Compton is said to be on the chopping block, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

    And as for Deuce...
Deuce, who was moved from SmackDown to Raw in the Supplemental Draft, is set to get a makeover. There has been talk of recognizing Deuce's background and morphing him into something resembling the new Jimmy Snuka, who is his adopted father. Before joining WWE, he did a Jimmy Snuka Jr. gimmick under the names Jimmy Snuka Jr., Solo Snuka, and Solo. He has also played a card shark gimmick from Las Vegas (which is where he's from) under the name Deuce Shade, but they probably won't be going in that direction.

But not to the extent of the Destroyer, that move doesnt look feasible at all for one man to do with no "cooperation." It is in way belivable.

I'm suprised to hear such a huge wrestling fan like yourself make a statement like that. You know as well as anyone here that if you want to enjoy wrestling you need to suspend your disbelief. If you can't do that then every time anyone gets an Irish Whip to the ropes you would be complaining that it is in no way believable for one man to push and propel another man with enough force to cause him not only to run but also turn at just the right moment, take a bounce off the ropes and return to centre of the ring at speed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,594 ✭✭✭Fozzy

Yeah, I don't think that the Destroyer is that big a deal. There's so much stuff in wrestling that's obviously fake, I'm not going to give out about something that also looks obviously fake, but also looks pretty cool

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,348 ✭✭✭Double C

Yeah thats true. Although I do remember Petey doing a running C.D. in TNA about 3 years ago and it looked a hell of a lot more feasible with the momentum he had built up. Dont know why he doesn't do that more. Murdochs sunset filp thing does look feasible though.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,066 ✭✭✭Firewalkwithme

Just my 2 cents on Murdoch. I think he has been under used and could have been a really big star if he had been used correctly. I remember when I first saw him I thought who the hell is this guy? What are WWE thinking signing up someone so out of shape? But when I saw what he could do in the ring - my opinion changed. His work on the mic could be great at times and as a package he reminded me a little of Stone Cold. But WWE have already had a rattlesnake and trying to create another similar character right away would never work - TNA on the other hand might just be able to create their own franchise from this guy.

But people dont use an Irish Whip as a finish.

You know very well that is not the point that I was making. It's about the suspension of disbelief that you need to have to enjoy the performance that is a pro wrestling show. Your point about an Irish Whip not being a finisher is irrelevant and it's just the kind of response I expected from someone who only seems to argue for the sake of it.
