OK, don't know where this thread shoud go so I hope I'm in the right place..

Just wanted to know if it's just me or does anyone else get annoyed by other people's habits, or even ordinary things they do, but that you know you do yourself....

One for me is chewing. I know I make noise when I chew certain foods... but it annoys the hell out of me when other people make noise while eating!!!

    people who have noticeable breathing.

nothing more annoying than being able to hear someone breathe.

i crack my knuckles a lot which a lot of people find annoying, i find it relaxing.

people blowing there nose, ****ing cant stand it ahhhhh!!

thing i do that i dont like other people doing around me is cracking knuckles

People standing too close to me in a line.

I was going to say that other people's habits don't really annoy me, as things like someone biting their finger nails, or anything of the sort doesn't really effect me at all and it's very easy to ignore, so you shouldn't let something like that bother you... But by jesus, it irritates the hell out of me when I'm in a queue and someone pushes right up against me, it just makes me very uncomfortable.

i find people that are easily irritated irritating. like my housemate who gets annoyed at the fact that i walk in my bedroom (above his) instead of float, or cos there's a small bit of stubble in the bathroom basin cos i didn't have time to give the bathroom a complete clean before i leave for work every morning.

people who leave the electric shower on all day and then moan about the electricity bill.
people checking each other's heads for nits on the bus (saw that yesterday... charming)
people who leave snots on toilet walls... you see it in pubs everywhere... who does that???

people who stand and chat in shop doorways or on staircases drive me up the wall
and people who think it's a good idea to stop at the bottom or top of an escalator while you have no option but to crash into them and they give you a dirty look.
    oh, and people who stink.

i bite my nails, but i can't see why that would annoy anyone

    Biting nails, feckin' hate it.

one of my housemates is overweight and unhealthy, you can hear him breathing from the next room and as for his snoring......

however when he's eating its like listening to lions devouring a carcass with all the snorting, grunting and heavy breathing-truly disgusting i can tell ya!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,485 ✭✭✭Thrill

Nose pickers and the ever unpopular whistlers. I just cant stand the whistlers. Whistling nameless non-tunes as loud as possible so we can all hear it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,295 ✭✭✭✭Duggy747

People who constantly spit on the side-walk. I don't find it revolting but just idiotic. What the hell is wrong with you, are you're producing too much saliva that if you swallow you'll end up drowning?

Dirty phlemmy spits! Now that's fùckin' manky, especially when dogs will eat it up :(

Drunk wimmen - You know the sorts, the ones who barge their way through crowds cuz like, y'know, they're ladies. They scream, shout, and cause mayhem and don't give a shìt where they are. I was playing pool in a pub recently when these 2 silly bitches came up, took the balls, threw them down the pockets, and then wandered off to the other end of the bar shouting! Why? Cuz they were drunk...I mean, ladies. If they were lads then surely they would've got a fist in the jaw but not for ladies.................God, I wish there was no such thing as equality! :P

**** who don't give you time to cross the road and will either rev their engine or will litteraly take off just before you're in front of them!

People who don't know how to use computers yet they know when something goes wrong it's always someone else's fault.

How can you hate feet? I mean its only feet, unless they're really manky/smelly. Do you freak out on holiday on the beach with all the bare feet around you or something? :pac:

I'm not afraid of my own feet though - it's not like I freak out everytime I have to put on socks :L

Fear of feet is called Podophobia and is very common... I don't get it tbh, if its because feet get grubby and dirty and so on, so do your hands, think about it, touching handrails, door handles, taps in bathrooms and of course money which is the worst of all... Hands are therefore more disgusting than feet I wreckon!

    New fear of hands developing!!!:D

It's annoying if you do it loudly!

People who drum their fingers on their table/desk. Probably the single most annoying habit in the history of history.

I sneeze quite a bit, and it annoys some people...it's not like I can help it!!

I have something like that too: I have a habit of banging anything around left from my drumming days, sometimes when I forget myself I do it with both hands and feet. But I hate it when someone else is doing it.

I would cry if I was trapped in a room with a hand/feet drummer (without actual drums)....then homicide would occur.:)

People (Mainly girls) in public talking REALLY loudly down their phone.

"AHAHAHAHAHA!! OH MY GOD!! He did NOT SAY THAT! AND WHAT DID SHE
    SAY?!"

"Oh I was PARALETIC drunk! AHAHAHAHA"

The only reason I can think for people doing this is to fool people around them into thinking thay are extremely popular and cool, and have some CRAZY friends

    LOL
    Very well described.

Agree with Karl Hungus about the queue thing. Have these people never heard of personal space?

Kinda agree with Thrill about whistling.
    Although nervous whistling is worse.
You know- almost like in cartoons where the nervous character puts their hands behind their backs and whistles hoping nobody saw what happens.

Ditto for nervous humming/noises of any sort.

Also retards who speed and tailgate but don't have the wherewithal to overtake you (and when they do eventually get around to overtaking you, you know they're just going to be stuck behind the next guy on the road- meaning you have to overtake them again).

    People who litter.

And I'd say a lot of juries would find you not guilty.

But it's a very hard to overcome habit to be honest, and sometimes I just forget myself.
