Hey guys, long time lurker, first time poster. I was just wondering, this being the fitness board, there must be a couple of strength coaches among the posters? I'm very keen to get into th industry, not as a personal trainer but as an strength coach for sports teams etc. I am a regular lifter, played rugby at a very high level (pro) and have a couple of business degrees but this doesn't satisfy me and I want to get into this area (not necesarilly rugby). I've done a fair bit of research on the available programmes in this country (and the UK) like the courses in UL and DCU but am not sure if this is the way to go and I feel time is a constraint given that I'm almost 26. I'm pretty sure the NCEF course would be a little lightweight in this context but I suppose every little helps. Has anyone been down this road and if so can you offer any advice? Thanks:)

I'm not in the industry, but all of the top guys have a CSCS (certified strength and conditioning coach) qualification. It probably should be your first port of call!!
