Cash Game in Cool Hand Lukes

Hi folks just wondering if there is any interest in a ''boards or anybody'' cash game in Lukes place next Thursday 3rd July or Friday 4th July @ 8pm.

I ve been talking to a few lads who said they would be interested in getting a nice NLHE game going again similar to the one that ran in the Sporting Emporium for a while.

I propose 1 2 5 live straddle NLHE or 1 1 PLO. We could even have a round of each game.

As its a schoolnight I was thinking of an 8pm start. I reckon you could get a nice bit of grub in there around that time too......

Anyone interested post here.

Friday night works for me...how about try and organise the cash game for 8ish and then i'm sure as people get knocked out of the tourney they will jump in.

Ye I think Jay spoke to Luke early in the week to try and arrange a 1 / 2 (optional 5 live) for Fri night....hoping to kick off at 8 or 9, whatever would suit ye best. A couple of lads have expressed an interest already so shouldn't be a problem getting a full table.

Gholi came in and harrassed players to go the pub to fondle eastern european ladies in howl @ da moon after he did his usual tourny donkament and broke up half the table so we have barred him from future games...

We needed to have more pints before hand but it was a good game. Oscar nearly broke the entire table so your banned too oscar...

No major bluffs apart from Swar calling with bluffs,lol! Myself,Gholi,Swar and Ste went to howl and the moon and got drunkies . Actually i said before the game and repeat here that i think the idea of the game is a bit silly. Sittin at a table with 8 sharks and no fish most of whom u are good friends with and playin for alot of money just doesnt make sense to me. There are so many fish out there and also people i would much rather than take money off,Just my 2 cents,Kev

But Kev we ve all played with each other for ages now in other venues. This was just an attempt to set up a game and have a bit of crack too along the way.

Other players joined the game after you all left and over all it was a good night but the action took a while to get going..

Also I am not a shark. I am most deffo a fish so there.......

There are no deep no limit games out there, if the game is run regularly fish will find out about it, as it is the only time Im willing to play live is this game - in any venue Im not barred from or a plo game if Im in the mood for that, otherwise we may aswell just all stay at home and play online.

Not havin a go J by any stretch! I suppse u are right but playing a game with little or no value at the table doesnt appeal to me when u see some of the players that are out there nightly who will call 600 euro into a 620 pot with an open ended(I hope chinese Gary from se doesnt read boards)I guess u could argue that u only improve by playin better players but my financial situation isnt strong enough to spend time playing big games with u lot no matter how much fun they are. Will always be there for the pints though!

Your point is a very valid point Kev but this was aimed to be more of a social thing and then see how the game develops over the weeks. Trust me my financial situation aint been too hot lately either so I was nt looking for this game to get massive.. ( Well actually I was ).

How about a guy calling my €500+ all in on the turn the other night in the 1/2 PLHE game in the Fitz with his double belly buster...Im loving it...

Anyhow if word gets around of a regular NLHE game then the fish might drop by...

More Pints and Beers (none of that gay Korona stuff) next time
