I feel that I have been personally targeted for banning from forums because I am Affluent. Some moderators are like worse than fascists. I have been victimized for expressing my views on life, love, fate, happiness and most recently Parties. Like isn't everyone supposed to be able to speak their mind isn't that what democracy is all about. Its the first amendment so suck it up and DEAL. also i am totally pee-ed off cos people were like dagging on me for my use of the English language. i didn't think Boards.ie was a hot bed of language-racism but HELLO it totally really ACTUALLY is. If people are jealous of my lifestyle then thats there problem I'm just saying I shouldn't be punished for it.

To be honest you shouldn't really be starting a thread in the County Kilkenny forum about it. That will solve nothing.
You should PM whichever mod that silenced you and talk to him about it in private. Or if you really want to make a public deal about it, the feedback forum is what you're looking for where you can have a public debate.

Speaking of fascism, you blame the moderators for having that attitude, all the while telling us that everyone should like listen to you no matter what, or else...period.

Ms. Appleby, please, don't flatter yourself. I have no idea how much money you have, but it sounds like you still depend on mom and dad, and it's awfully tacky to declare your social status on a message board.

One more thing: Just because you have the freedom of speech doesn't mean that anyone is forced to listen.

I've decided to seek redress in the County Kilkenny Board becuase this is where the injustice and atrocity like occurred. I'm not going to go to the UN about it like some people!!! County Kilkenny should take responsibility for its totally socio-economic racist citizen. Socio-economic descrimination is a major problem in ireland. I'mnot going to stand for it. My opinion matters.

the point is that I don't see why I should be banned at all!! the whole basis of my banning as far as I can see is that I supported a young girls right to have a lavish party in spite of all you guys being against it. Because I am from a more priveledged backround and socio-economic group I was descriminated against and banned. You don't know what other peoples' backgrounds are, the internet affords everyone a level of anonymity, so you can't say you're from a more priveleged background as a blanket statement. Other posters may simply prefer to keep their circumstances more private. As for getting a ban for that, don't be silly. People get bans for lots of reasons around here, money and soial standing have yet to be added to the list.

PPS education is free in Ireland Sherock. I didn't go to a private college and the state paid for my education just like everyone else.

It was on the radio this week that of 3rd level education is €7000 a year. Hardly free for most people.

lolz the dole is not 450 a week and *shock* but most students don't have 150 quid a week just lying there.Also,you say that this thread is you asking for help but you gave it the title 'anti-affluent fascism'-is that a term for help they didn't teach me at uni because i'm poor or working class?

laura I'm sure you're a lovely girl in person but you don't come across v well on the internet.

First of all if you're in college you can't qualify for the dole at all so you won't recieve any money that way. Some people do qualify for the grant though which is again approx 3k that covers the majority of someones rent for the college yr though not always the full rent but not food the weekly shop, gas esb bills, social life, and again not everyone qualifies for the grant. from experience aside from rent you need about 100 a week as well to get by

Indirectly if you're parents are on the dole thats only approx 180 a week. NOT at least 3 times 150 at all.. not even close.

So if you're parents are on the dole they have to pay their own rent/mortage payments off,(not everyone is rich remember....), feed themselves, feed any of other kids in the family, clothe them, pay gas and esb, as well as pay a students rent in college and money for food etc...

Now if you can do all that on about 180 a week then Ill take my hat off to you. thats not even taking into account the cost of a car if a family has one which the cost to maintain pay insurance and tax and keep the tank from going empty... medical bills etc...

tell me do you know how much a litre of milk costs? or how much a silce pan (any brand) is,

I'd genuinly be interested in what you think each would cost off the top of your head without having to check somewhere

The biggest cost of attending third level at the moment is accommodation / food / travel. Unless you are lucky enough to live within commuting distance of a HEI (and it has the course you want to do) then you are facing a fairly major financial commitment.

As you are posting in the Kilkenny forum (you did notice, right?) this is a commitment that most people posting here must face.

And btw, you make a terrible Sorcha clone, you really should go back and read the books again and try to get your head into the character a bit better.
