Wanted; Sturdy Cross Trainer

    Hello thread-advisers,

I am seeking advice about reliable cross trainers for domestic use.

My sorry story is as follows;I recently bought a 'Roger Black' Gold Cross Trainer from Argos (€370) and was using it happily for approx one week when it began to emit an unmerciful screech. With every rotation the cross trainer would produce a sound something akin to the high-pitched shrieking in the 'Psycho' shower scene. I contacted Argos and within a short space of time had a replacement machine substituting for what I believed to be a rogue trainer.

Much to my dismay the same thing happened again with the second model (exactly the same spec) so I am now in the market for a replacement (not Roger Black).

Just to set the scene, I am not a 72 stone, wholly uncoordinated cross-trainer sabotage merchant. Given the chance, I would use the cross trainer about 4 or 5 times a week for approx an hour at a time. Can anyone recommend a make, model etc that isn't going to let me down.

    Thanks a million in advance.
    Sami

I got a really good one in VJs recently, good price too. I'll have a look at the model and make etc, when I'm at home later!!

Sorry to drag this up again.

Just wondering what model you recommend Malteaser!

    Thanks

Maybe you have to put oil or grease on moving parts before actually using it? This is the case with various devices I have used to shave my head.
