I'm very glad that this thanks feature seems to be used correctly. If this was back at the time of rep, I'm pretty sure people were in the tens of thousands at this point.

You give thanks in forums like Computers or Bargain Alerts (ahem) if you find the advice/post helpful. It just goes in place for a heap of posts saying, +1, thanks, thanks for that, etc after a certain thread. It shows some appreciation for the user. You click the thumb button beside Edit, Quote, Quick Reply buttons.

Just press on any post that you feel deserves thanks / made you larf / whatever floats your boat.

That happened to me before. Whenever more than one person is on the same amount of thanks the others seem to disappear.

Third time's the charm eh? Managed to get it almost right this time around, although I've been mulling over whether or not the word "Thanks" is broad enough to cover the uses. "Cheers" or "Thumbs up" or something might work better, or maybe no change at all, could be just me thinking about it too hard.
