    Hi all.Does anybody know if there are any rules about kayaking on Blessington lake.Is it allowed just recreational:)

    Not allowed, if you just go and launch - ESB own the lake and warden will hunt you down very quickly in a fast rib. You may be able to get a permit - although I think that they are bringing in some rule about not allowing boats under 4m.

    I found out 3 weeks ago this isn't allowed. Warden was cool enough though and let us paddle away for the day anyways :)

    according to him the permit for the full year which allows you to boat on blessington is €25. more info at http://www.fishingireland.net/fishing/pike/dublin.htm
