Right.. so my girlfriend has issued me an ultimatum.

Either I wax my legs or she won't wax hers......

I don't know where this came out of but we were discussing shaving and waxing etc. when she popped out this corker...

Can I get some arguments from people here about why she should wax her legs?

I generally would never encourage a man to be disrespectful towards a woman... but for Christ sake! Tell her to shut up, that's just silly. She should wax her legs to make herself feel good. Not for you. And vice versa. Don't do it if you don't want to. It's your body!

Corkgal - dunno really, average leg hair I suppose!

Personally, I think there is nothing more horrible then jungle legs on a girl, and I may have been a bit forward when saying this.. but an all out strike is not on!

I have friends who only wax their legs during the summer/if they wear a skirt/if theyre seeing someone. Personally, I do it all the time cos I just feel better about myself. Everyone should just do whatever makes them feel good about themselves.

Thing is though right - I mean I shave (face) pretty much for her so fair is fair like.

However, I've just started a job where I have to be clean shaven so I can't start holding on that (and tbh, she just start holding out on something else )

But do you not think that a guy with waxed legs is just a bit weird looking?

Am terrified I might have to go through with this!!

I find guys who wax their chests creepy! So legs would definitely be weird! If a guy takes longer in the bathroom than me I dont like it! If they smell good and arent overly stubbily thats good enough!

Yeah, I used to go out with a lifeguard & he said you can't be hairy cos it slows you down in the water!

But seriously unless for some reason it gave her a rash (don't ask me how) or something I wouldn't do it. Ask for a way out. Cook her a meal or give her chocolates and flowers etc.

I cant imagine why a woman would want her boyfriend to have waxed legs! There must be more to it, theres something else she wants. This is one of those complicated female plots & you have to figure it out! (Without asking her of course)!

Right. You said something to really piss her off. And how you did this was by using your man brain. Rule of thumb;

Use your man brain while with the lads.
Use your woman brain while with the woman.

You see, women have to get shot of a hell of a lot more hair than you. Now hear meh out, Im not being a man-hater.

You shave your face.

She shaves or waxes: the legs, the lady garden, the pits, possibly her own moustache and anywhere else there is hair that there shouldnt be.

This takes time and a lot of patience, and in my case about a pint of blood every time I have to do it. (thankfully Ive no moustache to speak of)

Remember- with the woman, think like one. 'cept for in the sack, man and woman brain required. When giving oral, then think like a lesbian.

One thing you could try.

Say ok. You dont mind if she doesn't wax her legs.

This way doesn't deal with what ever you did to get issued the ultimatum, but the fact of the matter is women don't wax to impress their fellas, they wax because thats what society says girly girls do.

The best thing would be to ask her why she is so set upon this.

Dude, this is completely not an equivalent thing. Did you make the classic man-brain mistake of comparing the two to her?

Think of it this way - if you do go through with it, you take the moral high ground and she owes you karma. Make sure to do it during a cold spell, so your shiny shins will be kept safely under wraps.

OP, sounds like you two are playing teasing mind games with each other. If she doesn't want to wax/shave her legs, 'bribing' her to do so by waxing yours could descend into a pit of hell where the pair of you have a complicated system of barters and 'i will if you will' for EVERYTHING.

So.....

a) she doesn't wax. you get used to it, or decide that you can't stand the hairy legs and end the relationship.

b) after multiple double dares you wax each other - much pain later you break up. or, the pair of you decide that you're into the pain, and get out the whips , candle wax, etc.

c) you don't mention this again to her, it gets forgotten and as it's summer she'll probably keep waxing/shaving anyways.
