"Lotto plus" return, is it worth it?

I only rarely buy lotto tickets, this week-end being one due to the level of the jackpot. I was offered lotto plus for an extra €1, my numbers being entered into two extra draws, one with prize money of (I think) €350k the other €250k.
Am I missing something somewhere? Why would anyone buy into these draws as opposed to spending that extra money on extra chances in the main draw with a jackpot of over €12m? Anyone any thoughts?

A big win in the Lotto, for me, would be something that would enable a significant change in lifestyle. That means something more than enough for a big holiday or a new car.

Now I see €250,000 as being enough to pay off my mortgage, giving a me a big chunk of extra cash every month. That's enough to qualify as a big win. So then the question is €1.50 for one chance at a big win, or €2 for three chances. The question answers itself.

Sure it's just another way to scam money out of you.
