the 1st 4 numbers, 1001, everyone has them as thats the campaign number, the other numbers are your UID

Anyway probably back to the point of thread: people seem to be stressing over a single letter and analysing the contents of it to the core before they have recieved it. Why worry about it I say! It's always going to read whatever it does after you have sat IST. Further, if you are actually stressing over an acceptance/rejection letter, then perhaps you should ask the question if you are really suited to a stessful role in the PSNI? Where everyday is going to be like waiting on a 1000 letters!

I don't think anybody is 'stressing out' over receiving their letter. Its perfectly normal to feel a little apprehensive waiting on an acceptance to the next stage of a job which the person feels strongly about. Nothing wrong with that!

Has anybody received anything today? Hopefully its waiting for me when I get home this afternoon to put me out of my misery

Just received word that it has arrived but I have given strict instructions for it not to be opened until I get home.

To anyone who has passed, is there more than one document in the envelope as I've been told it only looks like there is one piece of paper inside. I don't know what to think..

No letter yesterday! I think Im becoming less bothered as they days go by to be honest lol. Bored waiting and kind of think I failed anyway. Always next year

A girl in my class told me today that she had passed.. I pitched the idea to her that maybe letters are getting sent out in order of people's UID numbers.. and she did say she was low 1000s... and I am the lower side of the 3000s... so maybe....

Everyone that has passed on here - what are your UID numbers? (obviously do not give your exact UID number!!!)

And is there anyone on here who has a low 1000s UID number that hasn't got their letter yet?

We were told last night that 16,000 ended up applying in the end.

No one is stressing about anything, just want to know, we want our letters as I am sure you do if you are still waiting.

Hi guys, I got my letter today and passed. Am in the low 1000's.

By the way, there is no need to panic, this is my 4th time trying to get into the force and still no luck. Passed and got to the last stage everytime!

This process is so unpredictable, but it seems that they are going by UID numbers this year, so I would say that the later that you applied, the later you get your letter. Also don't think either that the earlier that you get the letter, means that you have done really well, their is NO way of knowing how you have done, until you have got your merit score. If you pass, you get the letter regardless of how well you did. Don't know about fails as I havn't recieved that dreaded letter.

Also, for people that want to know their IST score, they will prob get it in late August, or early September when the merit list comes out, you just e-mail the address on the bottom of your letters, quoting your name, UID number and ask them to send all the relevent details out to you.

Again, DON'T PANIC!!! Stressing about it, will not make the letter come quicker!

Between 3200-3300 so I'd say I've got a bit more to go.. although they told someone else on this board that EVERYONE'S should be out by Friday.. Hmm.. I'm not holdin high hopes for mine though, wasn't from the start.. but while there's still no letter, there's still hope! Lol

I would say that would make sense, but their are a lot of letters to go out, and I don't see how they would jumble them all up and then send them out. I would say that the earlier that you applied, the earlier you would have sat the test, which would have meant the earlier that you would have been marked, and so the earlier that you would have been sent out after the start of the send out.

But honestly, I don't know how many times that you have applied, but this process is nuts and so random. It is a complete waste of time worrying about it!

First time applying.. well.. first time going through to the IST stage cuz I pulled out just before I sat my IST the first time I applied in 2007 cuz I got accepted to uni and I'll be out this year so, psni, here I come (I hope)

And yeah, I'm starting to see how random and frustrating the process is already :pac:

Sat my IST mid march with a UID number of very late 1000's!Got my pass letter today. Ecstatic!!!!Assessment centre here I come again!!!!What a frusstrating process.Congrats to all those with pass letters too and Good Luck to all you still waitng.
