I'm looking at doing a course over here. Does anyone know what type of course I should look out for? As I've found loads but all of them offer a different sort of qualification and are recognised by different bodies etc.

What kind of course you wanna do?

I know www.cmit.ie, an Irish distance learning website, do a Diploma in Fitness & Nutrition
Accredited by the NOCN [uk] but recognised in Ireland too

Wouldn't do a distance learning course as my primary qualification in fitness.

I'm looking basically for a course that will let me get cheap insurance and work in any country with it.

Guys, Sorry to hijack the thread but I am hoping to do a course that would allow me to train peeps while being insured.

The course... Distance Learning Course "Diploma in Fitness and Nutrition" on www.cmit.ie looks good. Does anyone know if completing it would allow me to be a gym instructor/personal trainer here in ireland ?

Website says "This course is suitable for anyone wishing to become a fitness instructor or personal trainer, although further practical training is advised before practicing and may also be required for insurance purposes."

hmmm..."...and may also be required...". How could I find out ?
