About as awful as this match is gonna be so just keeping with the spirit of things.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,111 ✭✭✭joker77

Turkey were really clueless against Portugal, so I'm actually going to change it to a Swiss win. Being the home side, and they had a couple of handy players - yer man Behrami did well in parts, he might be good for a goal.

Haven't been able to see a decent game yet, surely it would make sense to put the interesting games at later kickoff...

Gonna have a few quid on Vonlanthen or Streiller

Backed under 2.5 goals in this in an accumulator.
Cant see any goals at all to be honest and the most boring game ever in store.

Think I'll be doing ironing or something to keep me interested.

My hope is that because they both need to win to go through, it'll turn out to be exciting. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem at all likely.

backed the swiss to win tonight in a double with austria V Poland being under 2.5 goals. 8 euro returns 28. Hoping it makes both awful awful games a bit more interesting...

Why not transfer 4 of the swiss team to your fantasy football, that would make
    the game very interesting ;););)

I actually did bring in a swiss defender in place of Mellberg and Hakin Yakin in place of De Rossi (why the fuk isn't he starting for italy by the way?!) Not because i think the swiss are good or anything but a lot of the big teams play each other this round so weren't too many good defensive options i could pick without going over the 2 players per team thing. Yakin looked lively against the czechs, could see him score tonight against the turks (if he starts).

I feel the boredom creeping in.

Now that's what I call a lot of rain. Turkish goalie is getting a free bath with these saves he's had to make.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,898 ✭✭✭✭Nalz

    Good game.

Rain is causing some problems however

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,103 ✭✭✭estebancambias

I think the rain is making it a good game, for me anyway.

If this carries on I can see it being abandoned, parts of the pitch are almost unplayable now, in 30 mins it'll be quagmire.

    Haken scores

    Mike.

I don't think a Euro/World cup game has ever been abandoned due to weather (at least not since tv became an issue anyway)?

I was just wondering what will happen if they have to abandon it? The schedule for the group stages is so tight, when could it be replayed?

Yakin scores for Trillas fantasy team! Should have got a second
I think the rain is making it a good game, for me anyway.

Jaysus the pitch is making this match hilarious. I keep cracking up when someone goes on a run and leaves the ball behind him :)
