Decoding The Hacker Myth is a fantastic album, never heard anything more by them since but was aware they had appeared again more recently with the electro buzz... which isn't really my thing. Well, not the more recent electro stuff anyway.

Hmmn, when they re-appeared in 2004 with "Rocker" I was extremely disappointed as I felt instead of continuing and mutating their classic sound they had just released a slowed down version of the "schranz" sound that was popular in Germany and a few European countries at that time. I think their LP "Transphormer" has some moments but none as good as classic Alter Ego and they have continued in that vein. I'd nearly go so far as to say that "Rocker" is responsible for a wave of really annoying electronic music which still continues.

Youd be hard pressed to find Sven and Richie playing that these days! Agree though - absolute tune!

Found this one on FDH's bugged out mix - chris taylor - space disco -its on youtube but not even on beatport or speedyshare.

Also agree with that - Alter Ego are legends - jolly joker is really doing it for me right now - good popf mix is his mix of Tiga's "Sunglasses at Night" (an electro classic) and his other one - "the stomper" - they are both beasts and like alter ego, fuse techno and electro really well
