Hello, just a few questions regarding the new IT building I was wondering does anyone have answers to:

    1. Will the building be open for September? I heard rumours that there was no money left to run it and it would not be opening at all now.
    2. Does anyone know what floor in the building each department will be on?
    3. Considering the idea of keeping people doing a course in the same building, and not move around to other locations for lectures, will there be any dining facilities in this building?

    Thanks in advance!

yes. the move starts at the beginning of July. one dept at a time.

it varies. what're you looking for?

140 seater rest on the ground floor. There are also plans for a nice restaurant on the top floor, with a funky outside dining area. that's not going to be open any time soon.
I asked about a shop too, and was told there's space on the ground floor for one.

research offices and post doc offices second floor (including mine :) )
server room(s) on second floor (me again).
staff offices on ground, first and second.
    undergrad/msc/multimedia/teaching labs on first floor.
forgot the dept offices (admin helpdesk etc) are on the first floor.
