Evening cereal

I work warped hours and i don't eat 6 small meals a day like i should. I eat about 4 times a day.

    My typical day would be

8.30am Bowl of porridge with fruit. Or museli . And a glass of fruit juice.

12.30 I would have protein shake and some fruit.

3.30 I would have a salad with chicken or tuna. Whatever i have in the salad would be my vegetables for the day. A glenisk yoghurt. A piece of fruit and some nuts.

7.45 I would have a bowl of cereal - porridge or museli. And some fruit

I know i shouldn't be eating that bowl of cereal in the evening, but what could i have instead? I find when i skip the cereal in the evening, i go home and raid the fridge.

    6 small meals isn't a should.
Everyone is different, there are a world of ways to eat well.

I'm not going to make a suggestion to your diet because to me it seems that your not eating alot at all. I have no idea of your requirements.

I think people are better tracking using something like sparkpeople or fitday and finding an optimum and diverse diet for themselves.

Are you not able to cook a proper meal at night?

Could you make up an omelette or some scrambled eggs with ham instead? There are quick to make but IMO eating protein late at night is better than eating carbs.

Also, how about cooking some salmon or chicken in advance and having it with some salad leaves or cooking a large pot of ratatouille with chick peas or lentils and freezing it?

    +1!
Eggs are great, and they're quick and easy. Fish cooks pretty quickly too.

Also, you should really be getting something better into you at 12.30.
