Is it just me but do the better looking women in Ireland seem to be driving Mini's? Its weird, they always seem to be fit!

As for lads driving those Mini's, they look like idiots.

    There i said it

The old Mini was an "everybody's" car. The ad-men must have decided that the new one, especially in Ireland, is a girlie-wagon. They should come with free blonde wigs and frocks, in case a lad wants to drive one.

Definitely, I wouldn't go anywhere near those cars.

There was a big debate on the Motoring forum as to whether MINIs are a girls car. A lot of MINI/Mini club members were out in force in that thread!

I like how MINIs look, but there does seem to be a lot of girls driving them compared to guys. That, and the price would turn me off getting one, if I was ever to get a car. Classic Minis are for either male or female though.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Obviously I'm talking about the Mini One not the classic mini as said above that was an "everyman" car.

Good excuse for a classic clip

the new mini is a f*cking joke! it's not mini as the name suggests, it's massive! and it's horrible compared to the old-style. BMW, you already ruined your own brand, stop ruining these classics!

    that is all

    Mazda MX-5, Hyundai Coupes

Want one, had one...I am teh gay.

The MINI is a great car and a lot of guys do drive them although you usually find a guy in a Cooper S which has 175bhp because it's the more powerful car.

Still waiting for some short-skirt teasing...

Ok then. Can a girl in a mini-skirt get in an out of a new mini with more dignity than an old style mini?

    Photos please.

I don't like the tinted glass on MINIs at all ... it's too boyracer ish.

Anyway I love the new MINI and the old Mini :) The new MINI is fantastic, quite powerful and the quality is very good and it's just a really cool car, it just stands out.

The tinted glass is to hide the man at the wheel.:)

I prefer the design of the new one to the old tin-box where there was never any room to put anything. The boot was the same size as a glove-box.

Ive always said that the first woman to pull up beside me in a mini cooper wearing a pencil skirt with a bottle of grosch and a toasted rasher and egg sandwich is only ever going to get one reaction from me.

    Marry me.

My mate always says: Mingers driving mini coopers is one of lifes great disapointments, its like being promised gold, then as you get closer and closer you realise its just butter... wrapped in an old kerrygold label.

I noticed that Glenda Gilson drives a Mini.

Maybe women tend to drive Minis because they're easier to park. We should be glad then that there's less women out there causing dents and scratches on our cars. :)

In summation, the kind of woman who would refer to a handbag as "funky" despite the absence of Bootsy Collins, Rick James or George Clinton .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 538 ✭✭✭mjquinno

O right i though you might be someone who had just seen one and written it off as small tin box. I love the old design personally you got to admit that the 90 - 99 mini coopers are pretty sweet.

I am biased though i have one :)

Oh yeah, the new "Mini's" are for wimmins, the same with the "new beetle". Bloody disgrace!

Give me an old beetle anyday, maybe not a mini....probably wouldn't fit in one. :p

Me too. :( But in my mind they are driving mini's, while wearing a mini.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,789 ✭✭✭✭ScumLord

The worst thing is the mini should be a fairly good car. The copper sport is a little rocket but it's hole rep has been ruined by wimmins.

Peugeot 206 is VERY strictly female lately it seems!

Wouldn't be seen dead driving one.

Ugly, over-priced, ruining of a classic.

I think driving a Mini draws a lot of attention, therefore the only people who don't mind that attention are hot girls!!

I'm working on becoming hot and will then concentrate on getting a Mini:D

I always liked the pug 206. I must have teh ghey. Mini though... meh. My sister's bf drives one, though it is excusable as it is a Cooper S and goes like stink.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,048 ✭✭✭BobTheBeat

I've seen a few mini's scooting around with daisy decals on them. That is teh ghey, man or woman.

I did see a lady driving around in a JCW GP. I was impressed to say the least.

There are allot of ladies (some girls even) driving around in some impressive cars around here. There not standard either modded up tastefully unlike the boy racers.

The old Minis are grand, the new ones seem (imo) ugly and overpriced.

I like the standard pug 206, it's the CC's that look gayest. Also a Yaris or Hyundai Coupe

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,366 ✭✭✭✭Sleepy

Pug 206 didn't look too bad but it handled like a wet sponge...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,525 ✭✭✭DanGerMus

I'm so bittterly dissappointed that this is about cars.

+1. no respect for any man in the driver's seat (and not much for one in the passenger seat)
