Chemists in Northern Ireland

Was wondering if anyone travels up to the north especially to go the chemists and buy things that you can’t get down here. I work with a girl who does it regularly for example Gripe Water for the baby, Solpadene with Caffeine in it, Baby Brufen (sp?). I might give it a try apparently there’s a whole range of things you can get there but can’t buy here over the counter. Why is that does anyone know?

I've heard of people getting gripe water up there, there's a low level of alcohol in it to help a baby sleep better and relieves hiccoughs. It was taken off the market in Rep of Ireland because of the alcohol content. We still sell non alcoholic gripe water but really it does nothing for a child.

Brufen isnt sold here either, I don't know why, I assume its the same for adult and baby brufen, I have stocked up on these when in America and Spain.

Pity you can't buy it online?? I was in spain recently and someone told me to get it but I completely forgot. I was so annoyed. I'll have to give someone a list when I hear they're going to Spain the next time.

My sister regularly goes up north to buy gripe water. She has found a place is the south that secretly sells it however they charge through the roof for it. Whoever would have thought, dealing gripewater on the black market :pac:

Sainsburys have everything that you could possibly need for next to nothing. It's funny every time I go up there I fill the trolley with booze and cheap painkillers, what must I look like!

Solpadeine with Caffeine I wouldn't bother with as you can get the same thing under a different name down here (Maxilief I think it's called.) Brufen is available down here prescription only. I'd be more interested in the new Feminex they released or some Nurofen express. Must remember that next time I'm in Newry.

Superdrug cosmetics....and Asda ibuprofen  Don't know I'd go there on purpose just for that though.
