    Hi girls,

I really need your help on this one, I have tried shaving, waxing and all sorts of creams but always get a rash on my bikini line. The first day or two its grand and then i get loads of small red spots.

I would REALLY Appreciate any tips, tricks or ideas you have - heading away in 6 weeks and would love to find a cure

    Thanks x

I feel your pain, no matter what I do I get them. And have no bother with my legs, it's annoying. Was told to try aloe vera but not all that much help really.

do not go over the same area twice, try one smooth motion and try and get as much in one stroke as possible.

I read somewhere that if you pat it dry afterwards and spray with deodrant you won't get shaving rash or ingrown hairs and that this is a technique used by swimmers and gymnasts etc... tried it twice, worked the first time didn't the second, I pummelled a load of aloe vera gel on it last night though and it's really improved so I think maybe I'll combine both and hope for the best.

I thought it was a bit strange too but then thought well I've never seen a swimmer with shaving rash, not that I look there like but... :pac:

Then I figured it must be similar to aftershave?

PFB vanish...it's used for ingrown hairs, waxing/razor bumps and razor burn.. i've only recently starting using it but have noticed the difference already, not really sure what shops sell it but can be found on ebay.

Tend skin can be wax in waxing salons.
    It is expensive enough though.

if you do get those ingrown hairs should you leave them or pick at them - i normally use a tweezers to lift them but it quite sore

Hot water, loads of suds, pull skin as tight as possible and one stroke only.

And loads of shaving balm afterwards. I've used the Nivea for Men one and it works. :) Not for the area it was intended but it works.

I'm a (hetro) man but I've had certain secrets passed on to me from certain experts in the field which I shall divulge to you lovely boardsies.

Make sure the blade is hot, leave in hot water for 5mins beforehand, pull skin tight, shave with the direction of growth, place hot towel on the area, repeat, but shave against grain... leave hot towel on area for 2/3minutes until pores begin to tighten (as water begins to cool)... make sure the towel is clean!

but as someone said, expensive. I think it's about €30 for a 150 ml bottle if you get it in a slan. can buy it cheaer online but boots have a similar product. It's in a white and green bottle (sorry, can't remember the name).
