    hi

any help wud be really appreciated.

just got a small extension at home and im hoping to get some gym equipment to use there. my goals are to lose the little bit of fat i have and build up the muscle(aided by a good diet of course!).

weights wise, all i have at present is a 20kg dumbells set. shud i buy a decent barbell and a bench for benchpresses and exercises like that?

also for the bit of cardio, i was thinking of getting a cross trainer/bicycle combo(provided i have the cash). any thoughts on this?

    thanks in advance

Strongly recommend a good bench and a barbell set. Ideally, if you have the money and space, get a proper power cage, you'll use it all the time and it means you can squat and bench heavy weights safely on your own.

Whatever you'll use is the best thing to get. If cash is tight, then a skipping rope will do the job. If you can afford to splash out, then an elliptical trainer or rowing machine or bike or treadmill would be great.

    hi cheers for the reply.

to be honest, i wouldnt have the space for one of thoses power cages. weights wise, i wud only be used to dumbells so maybe for now a good bench and barbell wud be sufficient?

oh does anyone know if the cross trainer/bike combos are any good? the idea of it is great but i dont wanna fork out on one if theyre not great.
