How many $*%£ to make a slapper?

This topic has been under debate with my friends male and female recently and figures have varied greatly. So bearing age in mind how many sexual partners constitutes being slutty in your eyes, for both guys and girls if you feel they should differ.
My own tuppence worth is that there's no such thing as long as you're not cheating but it seems I am in the minority on this and that guys in particular have very strong feelings on what is or is not a suitable amount for women in particular.

Depends on the time frame really.

I can't think of a number off the top of my head, though for an example I wouldn't touch a 21 year old girl who'd slept with 25 different guys.

There was a girl I knew in first yr in College, she was 19 who slept with 35 different guys from September to May (I wan't one of them)...and was proud of it....:eek:

There's no number IMO. Bit of a double standard. Guys can sleep with tons of girls, and be a legend. A girl does it, and she's a slapper.

Sleeping around, when you have a boyfriend is another thing altogether, though.

Generally it's only cause most guys are insecure about their sexual powers, so they dont like the idea of a woman that's had more sex than them.

TBH, I think anyone who sleeps with someone after just meeting em (1 nite stand) is a slapper.....whether they've done it 1 or 100 times.

Its so strange, if a person was to sleep with one person every 3 months from the age of 18 - 25, then he/she will have slept with 28 people. Some folk might think that the total number is high, but the person may not have been sluttish in going about it i.e. one every 3 months could be a bleedin mini relationship every time like.

I think that's a bit harsh. Depends on the situation. What if it was the last night of your holidays and you fancied the person like crazy and you had a few drinks (which often increases your horniness)?

Yep, and 28 people over seven years really is not that much. In fact, if all of those were one-night stands, that person would be spending most of their time celibate.

In the cold light of day, I can't understand what the appeal would be either... but I've done it. A few times. Different factors come into play - one of the main ones being alcohol.
Not many times - I don't want to end up with a flange like Lindsay Lohan's (sorry, but there's no other way of putting it - if the tabloid reports are true, well she certainly is a slapper, I'll hold my hands up and admit it). However, it happens.

Yep, good point. I used to live with a girl who acted all innocent and cutesy-wutesy... then she did the dirt on her long-term boyfriend with one of her bosses. Yup, could be a problem for them all right. However it might also mean they are having difficulty finding the right person but they still have their sexual needs to satisfy. I know some people like that - they seem balanced and all but just have such a problem finding a partner. Maybe it's symptomatic of something deeper though - lack of confidence and whatnot.

True, but it may also indicate that there's something about them that drove others away, such as overwhelming clingyness from the get go, "bunny boiling" etc. that type of thing.

In reality, despite what some may say, only a very small number of people are single by choice over say 22, or after college, and a lot of said people would take such a choice due to a bad experience in a previous relationship, or something similar.

Wow, not a good way to be at 29 anyway!

Does she have high standards (given her personality)? I'm sure there's some guy out there who'd be able to look past such a flaw, he might not be the best looking or have the fattest wallet though!

God I still don't think there's a guarantee of it even if you meet so many people. You COULD meet the exact person you're looking for... and they could be in a relationship.
