Can y'all help me out here. I'm trying to estimate how many calories are in my basic diet.
What i usually eat mon - fri anyway is the following

100g porridge mixed with hot water with about 5 tablespoons lo-cal yoghurt

wholemeal bap dressed with some hummus
185g can of tuna chunks in oil
    slice of processed cheese

dinner is a variation of the following
handful of wholemeal pasta shells/brown rice, fillet chicken/turkey/fish, an onion, frozen brocolli, peas, corn, half a can of diced tomatoes and half a jar of pasta/curry sauce

My dinner is usually big because of the amount of frozen veg I put in it but they seem really low calorie according to the information on the packs. I try and keep the rice or pasta at a minimum, or sometimes i use a medium sized potato instead. Is eating large meals not good, regardless of what they consist of? How many cals in that lot of food you think?

    Gracias

Try fitday.com to work it out. If you don't provide accurate weights for us, we can only hazard a very vague guess.

But 100g porridge?! Do you really need that much? I think a normal serving is about 50-60g and I can barely eat that much myself.

Wholemeal bap - very bready, probably high in calories.
Tuna in oil is substantially higher in calories than tuna in brine/water. A tin of tuna in brine is ~150 cals, so you're looking at 300 cals for a tin in oil.
The cheese depends on how thick the slice is, but cheese is very high in calories.

Wholemeal pasta/brown rice is much better than the white alternative, but still pretty high in calories.

Defo! 100g of porridge = omg, my stomach!

100g of museli though.....I have been known to do. :)

100g of oats is around 360 calories though iirc. Check the label.
