I blame the Romas coming over here with their fancy jewelry and rougish good looks, they are drawing in the gays from all over the world. Then the gays are having sex and producing gay offspring, if my understanding of genetics is sound, and they have just continued to multiply.

would it be wrong to open a bar and call it a "hetro" bar and advertise it as specifically aimed towards the heterosexual crowd?

People are just a lot more likely to admit to it now, compared to even ten years ago, when I was in WIT it wouldnt have been something you would ahve advertised even to your closer friends, seems to be more socialy acceptable nowadays tho.

It's not that we're straight Kazobel, it's that we're afraid, afraid that if we admitted our true sexual feelings that we'd be thought of as lesser, weaker men and ridiculed by our peers, especially on such a homophobic, closed-minded,sexually repressive forum such as boards.

While a few years ago being an arse bandit was seen as a bad thing after all it is not normal nowadays the attitude is more relaxed.
So maybe the freaks feel better for coming out of the closet good luck to them i say.

i just dont think being gay is normal freaks may be a tad strong but its no way normal being gay that is.

Its cuz Ireland is finally coming out from under the shadow of the catholic church!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,766 ✭✭✭Reku

It's because the Irish women have become so unattractive with their orange skin and terribly overinflated egos.:p

Nah, seriously, I'd say we've just ditched the catholic "being gay is sinful" BS and accepted it.

The secret to not catching teh ghey is don't watch football. I mean worshipping two dozen men running around in shorts can only end one way.

On the other hand, has anyone noticed an increase in the number of sexually liberated hot bisexual women out there? :D

But if a certain % of the population is homo/bi sexual, then it's normal for in and around this % to be homo/bi sexual. So it is normal. Think about it.

There is at least one pub in Dublin where it is in fact trendy to say you are bisexual. In fact I nearly do a real life roll eyes when people go on about how free and liberated they are- but quite clearly are only after members of the opposite sex.

This I would say is only a symptom of the same thing the OP is reporting, which is much more socially acceptable to be what you want to be sexually these days.

Don't forget the communal changing room and showers, or the big gay manhugs when someone scores, swapping of clothing after the match is a bit iffy too.

Then there's the fans, keeping loads of pictures of men in shorts all along their bedrooms staring at them just before they sleep.

The truth is that all the gay people were living a life of seclusion in a park in castlebar until Tony Geraghty of the mayo echo exposed the lot of them.

Now they've scattered everywhere, send 'em back to mayo!

There'd be unrest for 2 reasons. Firstly most gay events tend to be inclusive. Straight people are welcome at gay bars. Second, it's more for those in a minority to exclude if they were to do so.

Number of Irish men joining the priesthood drops...number of openly gay men in Ireland increases.

    Coincidence? ;)

I was in "The Front Lounge" for cocktails recently and there were a lot of big brown paper shopping bags in the cubes.

I never realised so many did their shopping at night
