Circle with infinite circumferance

I was wondering if anyone here knew what this was all about. At first it makes sense, but then when you think about it it stops working heh, it's that "a circle with an infinte circumferance is an infinite straight line". I think there's too much reading into this going on. But agree its a difficult concept.

When i did my degree we used circles of infinite radius to encompass all point in the positive y plane when performing complex integrations.
