Yes I feckin love it. Top series and can't wait for the next installment.

The bird in it's a cracker, especially now she's dropped that awful attempted Irish brogue.

Surprised how short Season 2 was. It was billed as "Season Finale", but there are still 5 episodes left to air. Anyone know when they are being shown?

Edit: Never mind.... its back in January for the second half of Season 2.

USA Network has greenlit new seasons for Burn Notice and Psych.

Both shows have received a 16-episode order, which will see Burn enter its third season and Psych its fourth.

USA has been impressed with each show's rankings in the 18-49 demograph. Burn pulled in an average of 2.8 million in the age bracket, while Psych's figures averaged 2.2 million.

USA's Jeff Wachtel told The Hollywood Reporter: "We're really lucky to have a broad palate of success with two very different shows that work in our brand filter - one a buddy comedy and the other a sexy action show.

"Both are character-based, and both very much fit within our 'Characters Welcome' brand."

    Renewed :D

Great news. Its mad when you think about it.... if a show on one of the big networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX) was on 2.8m viewers, it'd be on life support.... might as well start making funeral arrangements. On the smaller networks, its reason enough to renew.

Anyone know how many episodes in total for Season 2?

9 have been shown (episode 9 was mid-season finale), and there are 7 left - airing in January.

Gave up on this a while ago.

Now that the new episodes are airing its time to resurrect this thread.

This latest epiosode (10) was good. The plot has thickened as
a new enemy has entered the ring and it was them who tried to kill Michael. They are working against Carla but their motive has yet to be unvieled
. Apart from this new development it was business as usual with Michael helping someone out.

Good episode and good to see it back on.

This weeks episode was pretty good. Loved the coffee tin full of thermite through the engine block.

The Irish accents were cringeworthy though. Michael McBride.

Not as bad as Gabrielle Anwar's Oirish accent in the first couple of episodes of the show. Fortunately she gave up the accent thereafter and seemed to forget that she was supposed to be ex IRA.

    Thankfully she did.

It's funny though, in the title sequence she's still sporting that terrible accent
    "Yo ir in Miami"

I thought they would at least have reshot that part.

The latest episode was really cracking stuff. Looks like the main story is about to kick into high gear.

Although in a recent episode they reminisced about how they first met in Dublin and Michael reverts to the awful Irish brogue he used when he first met her. It made me want to cry.

Episode 12 was good. Nice to see Seymour back. He definately added something to it. He might be in a few more this season. The client part was done well as was the main story. They ended up getting a lead in the people who tried to kill Michael.

Season 1 is available to buy on DVD now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,571 ✭✭✭The Don

Cool. I wonder what the extra features will be like? Bruce Campbell does alot of stuff for the website so alot of that could be included.

The last few episodes have been very good. Especially the bank one, I love the way he dealt with the situation. The last episode has left Michael with a moral decision. Also some of the dialog with Sam and Fi was class. Can't wait for the next one.

Season finale was excellent, the whole season built up to this, and it didn't disappoint. I thought they might have
killed off someone close to Michael to make it a bit more personal for season 3
    , but the other
    casualties
made up for it. Victor really turned out to be a great character too.

Hopefully Season 3 will be on in the Autumn.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,571 ✭✭✭The Don

Ya it was a great finale. Car chases, gun battles, explosions. Victor's character became well rounded in this episode and he
    willingly made the ultimate sacrifice
. I always liked his character but this episode really made him. The car chase was great as was the final stunt
    jumping from the helicopter
    .

    Loved when he
ricocheted the bullets up under the car
. Its the little things like that that make this show great.

Season 3 will be good now that
    all his old enemies
will be after him. Can't wait.

Cant wait for season 3! Burn notice has really excellent ending for both the first season finale and the second season finale that really make you want to see the third! Also I really like Micheal Shanks character in this aswell and it was pretty crazy in the last episode
where he jumps out of the helicopter! I would have stayed and seen what carlas people wanted!

Paul Blackthorne has been tapped to play Thomas O'Neill, an Irishman who arrives in Miami with a longtime grudge against Fiona. He shows up towards the end of the season 3.

Last weeks episode was very good. As expected old friends and enemies started coming out of the woodwork. Pretty nasty fight near the end too. Good to have it back....

I tried to watch this show and just couldn't get into it at all.

Didn't make it past episode 3 of the first season.

    Is it that worthwhile?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,571 ✭✭✭✭Mr E

Ah yeah, its popcorn stuff - about as deep as a paddling pool, but good fun. A bit of a MacGyver for the noughties.

watched s01 while i was away recently.

very enjoyable but it got very alike in the 12 eps in s01 with the main story being dragged out a bit i thought.

maybe s02 improves on it cos I saw it as getting a tad boring like reaper s01

Ok so season 3 episode 1 was excellent! A good burn notice to start of the season and I hope it ups the ante like season 2 did after season 1

yeah, am also a fan of this, as has been said, popcorm stuff, but still very watchable once fiona dropped the brutal irish accent. :)

i do wish someone would feed her a few burgers tho, she's like a stick.

haha MAIMI! Awh it sounds soooo terrible!

Episode 2 was really good. They've kicked things up a notch this season, thats for sure.

Just seen EP 2 was brilliant!

  • Moderators, Entertainment Moderators Posts: 18,002 Mod ✭✭✭✭ixoy

I'm glad that they've finally got into
explaining how Michael never got picked up by the police, despite the destruction he leaves in the wake. Makes it more interesting.

Wasn't too convinced though of letting himself be the bait in the feigned interrogation - seemed a bit too risky of a ploy!

I reckon that copper is gonna become a real pain in the ass real fast! He is going to have to do something smart to get rid of her!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,571 ✭✭✭The Don

Season 3 has started off well. The first 2 episodes have been very good. That cop definitely has it in for Michael and is going to be watching his every move. She's going to be keeping him on his toes holding her at bay and focusing on whatever job he has at hand.

I wonder if we'll get to see the C4 being used soon?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,571 ✭✭✭✭Mr E

3 out of 3 now, another good one!

Jay Karnes is alot of fun with his smug factor dial turned up to 11. :)

Burn Notice just gets better and better.

Last Thursdays episode was really good.

Off topic but, has anyone been watching the show that is on after Burn Notice called Royal Pains?. Another good show from USA Network :).
