Just did a quick search on eBay and couldn't seem to find it and amazon say its not out yet, but I'm pretty sure it is.

Can anyone confirm for me that its out and also can anyone give me a rough retail price (shall i decide to go and buy it)?

Thanks to anyone that can help:)

ROH had it for awhile got it during a 35% sale so it was about €15 delivered started recently after clearing a backlog of stuff to do, he goes into great detail fantastic idea to document it all as it happened too because i'm sure the memory isnt that great after strokes and concussions

Why such a delay in getting it on general sale in Ireland and Europe?

There is always a waiting period for Wrestlers books to reach Europe..........BUT...........in the Hitmans words...WWE was interested in Publishing his book, but Bret was firm about the fact that they could buy the rights to the book ....BUT couldn't change the ...WORDS...So it became an obstacle and delayed its release in the USA..,They told him thy did not care "What was in The Book"...They wanted it anyway.
But once they'd seen it and actually realised what(what was written in the book)they said We cannot publish this.
So he had to start over.Which worked out for the Best cause going with WWE might have led people to believe that it was all an angle between Himself and Vince.
He was worried about "people in WWE reading it and trying to tie him up in .........Court....Forever.
By the way Vince called Bret after Benoit Passed to thank him for all he had been saying on TV about Him and the Business.
To Quote Vince it was "Dont Worry about anything you write"Your entitled to tell your side of things."The book was already set to come out by then ,anyway.

Hopefully it comes out over here. I don't know weather the Foley book came out over here but I never seen and forgot all about it, 2 years latter it popped up at a car boot sale (Think it might have been in the CRC to raise funds for them) seen that and about 20 wrestling figures all in good nick and fairly new wrestlers too. Snapped it all up for €15 :D Best buy ever.

Does anyone know where the cheapest place is to get the book? Im going traveling in 3 weeks and it will be so handy to read while going between places.

Just finished this last night. Must say it was an excellent read from start to finish. It brought back alot of memories as well, and it seems my earliest memories (alluding to the other thread) go back further than what I imagined.

There are some very funny anecdotes, some great detail of certain situations, it gives a huge insight to the troubled lives some "superstars" lived due to the incredible amounts of steroids, pain killers and recreational drugs taken.

The only problem I had with it was
he came across as far too bitter toward Shawn Michaels in the afterword, ditto toward HHH. I felt it was a needless dig which made him look very petty, especially given the fact he said he had cleared the air with Vince.

That being said, get this book. If you are only a new wrestling fan, I'm not sure it is for you, but if you started watching in the late 80s to early 90s, it is essential.

ya id pretty much agree with that....great book for a wrestling book....there were points also where he comes across a bit full of it(id have a great match with a broomstick) type thing...i agree about bret being technically great,he just didnt have to say it so much in the book :)

Most of the time he played himself up was quotes from his peers

I have had it since Christmas too but only started reading it properly 2 days ago and am around 250 pages in, it is brutally honest and hugely detailed, he makes himself out to be no angel but also gives and insight into lives worse than his eg: Dynamite Kid

    Very good so far

Finished it today. It's bloody brilliant. I feel sorry for him at the end. He certainly had it tough.
And my God were his sisters Ellie and Diana not the sisters from hell??

Besides Owen and maube one or two more it seemed like the family from hell

Finished this the other week. Better than Foley's book(s) and the best book I've read on wrestling. There is so much detail in it. And its very honest.

Got it off Amazon.ca - well worth the money.

If you grew up watching wrestling (WWF) in the late 80's and 90's this book is for you.

Has anyone bought this off amazon.ca with priority delivery. The book is 22 canadian dollers and to get it delivered by priority is 28 canadian dollers which is 50. I converted that into euros and its €31. Surely it couldnt be that cheap to get it delivered that way. Am i doing something wrong???

    See my edit above

I got it with the Jericho book. So had to wait for Brets book to be released before both would ship. But when it shipped yeah it did take that amount of time it is worth it. I wasnt charged for customs (Ive never been ever.) To my understanding you are less likely with priorty shipping.

PLUS you only get charged (if caught) with customs charges on items over €45.

Ordered mine yesterday, rubbing my hands in anticipation.Hopefully it wont take too long to arrive.

Happy enough to pay 32 dollars rather than having to wait for a European release.

I think rovert is right here, we pre ordered series 4 of House on DVD and were given the exact same date, despite the fact that it's release is in August i think. I think it's a generic date to cover their asses just in case.
