Im going to play 9 holes of Golf for the first time. If im into it, i will be looking to get my own clubs. Im a complete beginner so do not want to spend too much. Just some nice clubs that will do me for a couple of years (or longer if they work well). My budget is €200, i do not want to spend more than that.

This set looks perfect. Seems to be a respected name and the price is good for what you get.

they will do you fine, other options are to check out a similar set in the golf shops, or online.

I started out with a similar full set of wilsons from mcguirks and they were fine for 2 years or so.

American Golf is a little out of the way. I will pop in to Mcguirks in Blanch and take a look. Maybe they will have the same set so i can try them out. If they are the same price i might get them there. Otherwise i will get them in Argos. Even if i do not become a regular golfer, i can make use of them when i have nothing better to do and my Father in law can use them when he comes over from the US as they would probably be in better condition than rentals.

I did manage to hit the ball when i went, not always of course. I got a couple of nice shots but most went arseways and i lost a few balls.
I went to CastleBarna in Offaly, very nice people there although i held up some Sunday morning golfers so i skipped a couple of holes and when they caught up we let them go in front.
I will have to get some lessons, there is a pro in Mullingar Golf club so i can go there.

They are always nice in Castle Barna, :D glad you decided to take up golf. John Burns(Mullingar) is a nice lad, worth the effort of going to.
