On BBC 1 at the moment. I had no idea it was on today! Unusual to say that about an England game since they are usually hyped up so much. :pac:

    This is painfully boring.

Highlight, Motson creaming himself at the thought of Gerrard scoring.

F*ck sake, everytime I turn on me telly that freeloading slaphead Bobby Charlton is on it

    lol.

I didn't catch the start of the game, and I've only just worked out the England team.

No mention of Hargo in the first 25mins, or Lamps.

Is Stevie G playing on the left?

This is like a Bex testimonial tbh.

    Jermaine should have scored there.

    Nice ball in from Stevie.

Rooney is playing well imo, nice passing and energetic running from him.

Too bleeding true, hope Euro 2008 is good, as in I hope Holland get out the group stages. ;)

I much prefer International Football. International football is special, club football is business.

Watching Riquelme with Argentina is better than anything.

England fans are so stupid. They boo an anthem which is inspired by their own anthem(or something like that)

England are also a boring boring team.

I agree on some aspects, I also strongly agree about Riquelme , when he plays for Argentina he is pure class.

Bit of a slip up in the US and A defence :D

Meh set piece. A goal is a goal, but they rely on their set pieces a lot.
If they think beating the US reserves is something, then thats ok with me. :D

I like the way you agree with some parts of what I think about Int. football.

Is Michael Bradley playing? If nothing else the game will be a good scouting exercise for the mid-table teams.

Radio 5 Live feed is 3/4 mins behind for me, grrr :/

    HE is indeed playing.

Yeah he is playing. Looks like a Liam Miller sort of player.

England are long ball merchants. I will accept they put some thought into their long passes. As John Giles once said ''at least Ireland look like they have some purpose with the ball''

    commentator while the replay was being shown of Terry's goal;
"he'll still have those feelings from the penalty miss, that'll have gone a long way towards fixing it though" - no, no it wont. at all. its a friendly.

Scoring a goal while captaining your country must be still a bit special, friendly or not, no?

Agreed, although world cup has more meaning.

That Czech vs Holland game will always be in my memory.

Petr Cech save from Johnny Heitinga....:D

The BBC pundits love laying into their team don't they? Bring back The Apprentice? Bit harsh.

im sure its nice and all, but clearing his inner demons from missing what would have been winning penalty in the worlds biggest club competition, not quite. im sure he'll still be having many's the sleepless night.

There was something wrong with Shearer's mic, they should have just left it off.

They're going to show Bex's wonder goal from the weekend soon.

    Roll on September IMO

    (Ireland qualifiers)

OPENROAD, if your not looking forward to a month of football, where you can see some great players in action, then I don't think you are a football fan. You support Arsenal, but I don't think you could like football.

I think your support of Arsenal is class in some ways, so I'm not trying to be demeaning or anything but come on any football fan wants to watch the euros.

I'm amazed the BBC didn't include Roobie Keane's equaliser against Chelsea as a goal of the season contender. That was a peach.

Surely the goals nominated are the ones that won goals of the month throughout the season.
