    At this moment -

    Bread as thick as doorstops
    Butter, Lots of
    Mayo, Lots of
    Bacon, large quantity of
    Fried eggs, runny, two of

Very lightly toast bread and add ingredients. Lovely.

Although the whole bacon thing may be because I cant buy bacon out here, didnt think i'd miss it :(

Chicken and bacon triple decker. Ingredients vary from store to store, depending on the amount of time the guy's been working there already ;)

    I've a few:

From the Spar in DCU (They've the best wraps and spicey chicken IMO):
    Spicey Chicken
    Lettuce
    Mayo
    Onion

3 slices of bread, 1 toasted with cheese
    Baked Ham
    Ballymaloe relish
    Cheesy toast cheese side down
    Mayo
    Roast chicken
    Stuffing

    - Variation on Christmas sandwich

2 slices of fresh white bread, buttered
Roast beef, gone cold and heated up in gravy
    Between the bread
    Yum

Crispy roll, coleslaw, cheese and onion crisps

    Anything with rashers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,184 ✭✭✭✭Pighead

On Tuesdays Pighead likes nothing more than a crumbly bread sandwich. Crumbly white bread on top, crumbly white bread on bottom filled with a lovely slice of crumbly white bread in the middle.

Just before Pighead bites into the crumbly bread sandwich he puts one pumped fist high into the air and shouts
    "Leeeeeettttttttts geeeeettttttttttttt breaddddddddddddy to cruuuuuuuuuuummmmmbbbblllllleeee"

Thick bread. Butter. Spicy breaded Chicken. Ketchup. It's that simple.

Alternatively, thick bread, butter and an entire packet of mccoy's wedged in there is good too.

Right now though I'm avoiding carbs mostly for a few weeks. So no sandwiches for me. Just shakes, fruit and meat....hmmm. A meat sandwich? Chicken wrapped up in a thin steak.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,922 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

Once it has no salad of any sort, no feckin mayo and a ridiculous amount of cheese it's all good with me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,060 ✭✭✭Niamho!

Spicey Breaded chicken is the only meati eat on a sandwich really.

    Cheese all the way.

Cheese, Sweetcorn, Lettuce, Peppers, mayo and a little bit of onion. preferably on a Panini or Big fat roll..... i dont splurge all that often on the Rolls though..:(

your all too fancy, i think too many ingredients end up tasting of nothing

    me....
whole grain bread (whole meal is rotten, white has too much bleach in it to be safe to eat)
    a slice of shaws ham
3 slices of charleville chedder cheese (the rest suck)
    dairly gold spread
    tobasco sauce

butter on one slice, put cheese on it, then ham on the cheese, and about 4 dollops of tabasco on the ham, spread it out with a knife, cover with second slice and stick it in a hot lean mean for about 5mins

The chicken and bacon tripledecker from a certain well known sandwich chain used to always do it for me, yummy fresh while bread, toasted, with chicken style gook, crispy bacon, coleslaw, onion and melted cheese. Yum tastic!

I love sanwiches. Sometimes at home you cant beat a toastie with ham, cheese and onion, hmmmmm

    Breakfast muffin, buttered
    2x Sausages, halfed lengthways
    Tomato ketchup
    Potato Waffle
    3x Smoked bacon, crispy
    Tomato ketchup
    Potato Waffle
    2x Sausages, halfed lengthways
Other half of the breakfast muffin, also buttered.

All fried in the same pan, bacon done first so everything gets the smoked bacon juice.

If im very hungry, add a hamburger and a slice of burger cheese. And a bit of salami if there is any.

I call it the Greasy Bastard Suprise.
