I am wondering if my diet consists of too much eating?

    I have:

    Breakfast - 5 weetabix

Lunch - 4 slices of bread consisting of 4 rashers
    Bar of Chocolate

Dinner - Spagetti Bolognese (0.5Ib of mince)

Tea - 6 eggs and 4 slices of toast with marmelade (sometimes with a tin of beans)

Any fruit and veg? If not, introduce them - they're vital. And fats - the good kind found in nuts and fish. Also vital.

And is the bread white or brown? Ditto the spaghetti? Refined carbs are a whole load of unbeneficial stodge.

Even if the bread was all wholegrain, there's still an awful lot of it, and thus, an awful lot of calories. You don't need so much carbs. That's not even taking into account all the weetabix and the spaghetti. No need for a bar of chocolate every day either - every few days would suffice.

Looks like you're taking in way too much calories all right.

    you like bread!
what times are you eating at?

do you snakc between these meals?
    sugar on the weetabix?

it looks like you take in ALOT of carbs.

however, we dont know what your activity level is like.

are you eating to much who knows as you haven't given any info about yourself like, age, sex, height, %BF.

However even if it isn't overkill your choices aren't the best with no fruit and veg and feck all good fats as well

Why do you need to put on weight to join the gym?

Just join it, no one is going to be gawking at you and if they do, then that's their problem, not yours.

If you want to put on weight, eat a lot and lift heavy weights. The other guys here could recommend a programme for you.
