I just ordered a new D300 from Jessops. I was waiting untill later on in the year to by but when I saw the price at Jessops I could not turn it down. £999 with the current exchange rate this turned out to be €1255, and they throw in a free bag. Best price in Europe as far as I can see, same price as getting it from the states. I will be sitting waiting around for the post man for the next couple of days. Time to retire the D70 .

The fact that everything is half price ought to give you food for thought :D

hi, will Jessops deliver to ireland ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 469 ✭✭ttcomet

Yes Jessops will deliver to Ireland. It was 10 pound sterling for delivery when I ordered from them not to long ago (camera/lens/cleaning kit). I ordered on a Thursday and it arrived Monday afternoon by courier.

The only minor issue is that you will have to ring their order line as they cant seem to process Irish credit cards on the web site.

Yes I am in the Republic, so I had to ring up and order , quite painless and quick. Nextline shop ,I never heard of them, but I usually stick to the rule , if it sounds to good to be true , it usually is.

Woo hoo !!!!! it has arrived. A little issue with the courier , getting used to the whole issue of couriers not been able to use a map. Very impressed so far, although I really only got to play with it for a few minutes before bork this afternoon , so I am looking forward to the weekend to really try it out.

Best of luck with the new camera - it's fantastic! Got mine last Wednesday from Calumet in Belfast. If you need any lenses, check out digitaldepot.co.uk; they've great prices on the 18-55 VR and 55-200 VR, and £20 for delivery.

I'd recommend looking at the D300 forum on dpreview, as there's some great advice, especially about focusing.
Also, get your hands on Tom Hogans Complete Guide To The D300 eBook & CD. Absolutely priceless!

I'm a newbie myself, still finding my feet, but if I can help you at all, feel free to ask!
I have the 18-55 VR lense.

    Have fun!
