Depends on what ya mean by working out!

Lifting weights, for some reason I do be grand hungover doing squats or deads!
Training an MA, no way I'd get sick after ten minutes.
Running, some HIIT after a night out no thanks I think I'll cut off my legs!

Last night was my first time not drinking at a nightclub, and it was a class night!

Your body is dehydrated as a result of the alcohol and hasn't had a chance to recover - exercise causes further water loss and this is very hard on your system. It's difficult to speed up the recovery from a hangover to ensure a trip to the gym is not pointless but water intake along with appropriate foods for energy helps a lot! Probably better off to limit alcohol to days when taking a rest day the day after! :)

I've worked out with all sorts of hangovers.I used to train my chest on sundays because that was when the gym was quitest and you could get to what you needed.Obviously i would've been pissed most saturdays so it was a sort of living death having to then go to the gym.I dont really do it much now because i go to a different gym and i'm more likely to get a decent workout pretty much anytime. The only advice i can give is eat a HUGE meal an hour before you go to give yourself some energy and drink water like you've never tasted a drop. There's no reason why you cant have a good workout if you tell yourself this is your penance and you'll sleep like a log when you get home!

These days I get much more satisfaction out of a decent workout than a night out on the tiles. Oh, how the times have changed  A little internal fitness mod hovers over my right shoulder and keeps me on the right path with rousing crys of "empty cals, empty cals"!

If you think being in a gym hungover is bad, try hopping into a swimming pool.

If you do have to mix drinking and some sort of exercise early the next day, then you probably couldn't go too far wrong with ski-ing or snowboarding. You may be absolutely in bits from taking on a bunch of Poles at a Jenga & bison vodka drinking competition, however you can collapse on the slopes for 30 mins and munch your way through a few fistfuls of snow.

I personally like to don flippers and snorkel from Puerto del Carmen to Puerto Calero, its about two miles ther and back and the cold atlantic soon wakes you up.The return journey can feel a bit rushed however as you're usually starving hungry,a 'florida sling' quickly sorts out a sea bream for breakfast!
