    Hi Folks,

Finally have gotten my diet down! Have been trying to ween of bread, sweets etc over last few weeks and this is what I currently have.

08:00 - 2 egg omellette with ham + tomato | Tin of tuna & Porridge | Tin of sardines
    11:00 - 35-40g Whey protein with milk
    13:00 - Fish/Chicken with Brocolli/Carrots/Kidney Beans/Salad/Other "Good" Veg
    16:00 - Apple
18:00 - Chicken/Fish with 30-40g wholegrain rice, salad, tomatos, peppers
    21:00 - 35-40g Whey protein with milk

On weights days I would have a tin of tuna at around 7 before workout followed by a 500ml of Lucozade Sport. I'm Currently doing the Starting Strength programme.

I've cut out bread and potatoes completely, bar sunday dinner. I've also cutback on sweets big time, however would still have a couple during the week.

I've recently however started having an Options hot chocolate at night, kind of feels like I'm not "missing out" then...

I realise I need more fruit (Am taking Multi Vits & Fish oils), however I'd like to find some with low carbs.

All opinions would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance :)

Looks very good, you've obviously done a lot of work on that.

Personally, I'd keep the whey for after lifting only and eat real food the rest of the time.

I'm not sure that you do need more fruit. Tomatoes are fruit, even though you don't eat them for dessert, and peppers are borderline. I'd look to see if you can put in more veg instead. Weight for weight, veg is much better nutrition than fruit.

Good fruits to include are things like berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries in season, gooseberries, currents of all colours, loganberries), rhubarb, anything you grow yourself or that you pick wild. Thin skinned fruits with seeds are next best. Things like banana, pineapple, mango etc should be kept as treats.

500ml of lucazade is a lot of sugar.

What about an occasional square of very dark chocolate? Amnesty International and Lindt both do nice 85% cocoa bars, which are low sugar and give a great chocolate hit. Strong enough that you are not tempted to finish the bar.

I'd maybe look at getting some beef in there a few days a week.

Lots of protein, will help crank up the Test levels and give you a bit more variety.

Thanks for the advice so far.

EileenG: the lucozade is for after workout just to get some immediate carbs in. Good suggestion on that chocolate but I'd prob go crazy seeing a full bar and couldn't resign myself to 1 or 2 squares, hence the options hot chocolate ;)

Al Fernz: I do try to avoid red meat. However would have it once or twice a week. May start aiming for twice a week minimum.

Try some Lindt 99%. Serious chocolate hit, and I defy the most dedicated chocolate addict to eat a bar in one sitting. I love chocolate, really love it, but I can eat one or two squares of this and then stop!

Red meat is your friend on a diet. Lots of protein and iron in a very bio-available and filling form.

I certainly will try that.Chocolate is where I lose all motivation.Having said that,I somehow managed to eat a twirl over 4 days(instead of the usual two a day a few months ago)......thats a PR for me lol

Hat off to you. I couldn't do that. An open Twirl is an eaten Twirl as far as I'm concerned. But I have a bar of Lindt 99% in my press since Friday and I've eaten four squares. I confidently expect it to last the full week.
