I support myself as a ref, then my local club, then Leinster.
I have a few issues with the way the game is run here, but things are never perfect -eh?

    Leinster, huzzah!

Not much bothered beyond that, though I like seeing the Scottish teams do well.

Leinster, season ticket holder, but from Monaghan :)

Follow & support any Irish team, and keeping an eye out for Hurricanes in S14 after meeting a few people from Wellington.

Well Barnhall are my local team so always keep an eye on them and my bro' plays for their U18s. I play with and support Old Belvo though as they've always been good to me in the 2 years I've been with them.

The other teams I mention I wouldn't be a staunch supporter of, but would always keep an eye on them and their results for various reasons.

Leinster, Connacht and London Irish - in that order.

Sometimes Sarries. (Still not sure of them sometimes....)

Though I'll watch any rugby when it comes on TV...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 284 ✭✭Phaetonman

Barnhall, Ireland, Leinster, Connacht in that order.

Living in Galway the last few years otherwise I wouldn't really support Connacht.

Will no one own up to supporting Ulster? Lads we've got to reach out to our Ulster brethren,it's clear they're sorely under-represented here...hands across the border and all that malarky...('cept for the bits in the south that is...)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,187 ✭✭✭✭Sangre

As is probably obvious to anyone who reads this forum I'm a Leinster man. Don't support any club.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,279 ✭✭✭gjim

    Ireland.

    Munster followed by Leinster.

    Shannon.

    St. Munchin's.

Besides that I'll always support an Irish team over a non-Irish one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,980 ✭✭✭✭phog

    1. Munster
    2. Shannon - non member but try to get to all the home matches, didn't manage it much this year.

Followed by the other Irish provinces.

Because of the players playing with their relevant teams for the HEC Finals I attended in 2003 in LR and in Murryfield in 2005 I went with Toulouse (Trevor Brennan) and last year I went with Wasps (Eoin Reddan).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,198 ✭✭✭✭Crash

    1. Leinster
    2. Ireland
    3. Connacht
    4. Munster
    5. Dublin University, I am a student there after all.

as for foreign clubs, Wasps and LI would be the ones i've kept an eye on mostly.

Well, I support Irish rugby above anything in general but.. Avidly support Leinster, closely followed by Munster (I don't get the stupid rivalry thing.) Find both of them much better to watch than the national side this season. Keep a look out for both Connacht and Ulster too, though both have been in poor form this year. Have high hopes for Connacht for next year, but think Ulster could be set to face rock-bottom and the Challenge Cup.

Outside of provincial rugby, I don't support any senior irish clubs (I'm only 19, and relatively new to rugby), but I'm a Wicklow man and love to see the club do well. Unfortunatley I was a year above the current golden generation when I was playing with them (two successive all-ireland titles, U16 last year, U18 this year! animals they are)

Abroad, I dont watch any SANZAR clubs, follow Clermont in France and don't have any special preference in the GP, though I love to watch it.

I think you'll find its 3 :D. Just stuff that happened ages ago personally, plus coming from Meath, not a great affinity towards Leinster felt anyway.

Love watching Fiji play (were brilliant against Wales in the WC).
