hey guys, during the winter i started using Serious Mass to gain some more weight. I reached 11 stone (I was 9.10). I then stopped since february. Then I started taking the protein shakes with 25 g of protein before and after my workout. For the past month I havn't been at the gym because I was too busy. Now I'm losing the weight again gradually. I am now 10.10 stone maybe less. Should I start taking Serious Mass again to get more mass back again? My goal now is to tone up though and make my muscles more defined. Would it be wise to be taking Serious Mass if I want to tone up? I want to gain weight but I don't want most of the weight to be fat! Please help!
    Here is my status:
    18 years old
    Weight: 10.10 stone
    Height: 6 foot

honestly, if i were you tryin to tone up, i wouldnt be going back on it, but maby leave it on the idea on the table for after. id just start droping the carbs, and taking in more protein and doing a good bit of cardio along with your work outs.

there was actually a really good artical for keeping mass and toning up in a magazine this month, along with a diet. although im not sure if i can say the name of the mag.. mods? can i?

how much protein should I consider taking daily? I'm also not sure how much cardio I should be doing aswell. I used to do cardio for 20 mins after my weights workout. Should I stick with this or should I dedicate a whole day to cardio? thanks for the help Shane I'll do a little research on that internet bout that:D

MBC, the weight I put on was bout a stone of muscle, the rest was fat. I used to do weights alot when taking Serious Mass althogh I did not do any cardio.

You seem to be looking for someone to post up a whole routine and time table for you, the best way to workout is to start on the most basic of principles and find out what works for you. This is basically what I follow:
    1) Input = output
The more I put into a workout the more I get out, fairly simple, just remember to keep proper posture and form so you dont injure yourself, but dont turn to the pink dumb bells, you have to challenge yourself.
    2) Calories in - Calories out = Calorie change
If you eat more you will gain weight, if you eat less you will lose weight. If you have a hard time eating enough to build, supplements can help, and if you have a hard time keeping calories low to cut, eating clean really helps. But a balanced diet is still important, read the 'Diet and Nutrition' sticky, especially the first 5 posts (By Jak and g'em), all the basics are there, you dont need to get too indepth with your food.

    edit:
My stats are: 6'1", and about 14.10-15st
Last feb (15 months ago) I was 20 stone, dropped to 13 inside 10 months, and have been bulking since.
