In my school they start on Monday. had my French oral and aural today and my Irish oral 2 weeks ago. French oral went well, French aural was tough and the Irish oral was boll**k as we weren't told about it.

As for the studying, haven't done a bit, only subjects I'm going to be stuck on our Geography and Physics the rest with a bit of study the night before should be grand.:D

The weather is too good to study!
I've just been out playin ball in the sun for the past few weeks so haven't done much really
I couldn't be arsed as I'm guaranteed my places in all honours so I'll do some work over summer and all next year

I agree, the night before should be grand :)

I'm on boards, and have been since about nine o clock. That says it all. I have not done very much yet, but it starts tomorow. And I mean it. We have them the last three days of school next week. Had my french oral a few weeks ago, but I dodnt know it was for the summer at the time so id din't study, and the french aural today which was grand. Im screwed for Irish cos I dont study. Im screwed for English cos I cant write fast ebough and Im screwed for physics cos I only joined the class 2 months ago. Should be fun!!!

Have 'em starting on Monday. I'm studying for them all this week just so I'll have a vague idea of where I currently stand in relation to a leaving cert paper.

I've done no study really so am more or less f*cked. Ah well.

Might do a serious bit of cramming before a few of them though.

Done a bit for Maths/Applied Maths/Physics. That's about it really. I'm really annoyed about English since we have to do an essay on Macbeth, Poetry and Comparative in just 2 hours.

Ah well. Can't wait for summer.

Ahh, I'll start studying tomorrow..procrastination ftw

Got 84 out of 100 on my French oral with minimal work.

That's exactly what we have to do. I'm good at English and all, but learning quotes for all of them is a bit difficult considering my English exam isn't all that far away.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,031 ✭✭✭johnk123

Mine start next Monday for the whole week. Have my applied maths exam this thursday though and thats the only thing i've studied for really. Like, once you've studied for class tests etc throughout the year you should be grand. Can't wait 'til summer!!!! ;)

Freaky. That's the exact same as me. Except for physics, Im dead for that. Other than that, it's the exact same.

Crammed for the first the morning of the exams and the two hour lunch before the second! Probably not the best idea, but the results I've gotten so far are pretty good for the lack of effort I've been putting in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,893 ✭✭✭Davidius

Haven't really done much outside the revision we were doing in class. The main tests are on next week but we've already had our Irish listening and French oral. Also they were stupid and forgot to put LCVP into the timetable next week so we have to do the exam in Maths on Friday.

Got 20/20 in the French Oral...haven't a fecking clue how I managed that seeing as I'm retarded when it comes to languages. :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,016 ✭✭✭lilmissprincess

I've decided to drop an extra subject before 6th year starts cos I'm looking at how little i've done in fifth year!
French is my worst cos my teacher doesnt seem to care about whether or not work is done or handed up.....Irish is my best cos the teacher is terrifying in authority mode

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 435 ✭✭~Candy~

i messed up my french tape!!!really badly really really bad!!¬.¬
    :eek::(
my head went blank all of a sudden in that class ...
    my gosh...

Seems you're the one who needs to dry their eyes. Maybe if you did worry about Summer Exams it might have been helpful to you now. By the look of it you've failed English anyway.;)

That's rough, I have 3 1/2 days of exams, with each exam two hours so I get off at 1.30 the lastest everyday.

Had Maths and Physics today (both higher) and they were impossible. I'd be lucky if I passed Physics and I honestly think I only got about 10% in Maths.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,626 ✭✭✭timmywex

Ha, i hagve a weekend of craming ahead of me now, was in lourdes last week on what you could call school business and i am not really all too ready for exams now!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,974 ✭✭✭✭Gavin "shels"

How's everyone one's exams going? You finished them or have a few left?

So far I've done French (oral, aural, written) all Leaving Cert standard, Maths, English (both grand), Physics (horrible) and then Irish (two thirds of it were grand).

I've only got the results of my French oral and aural so far, that being 84% in my oral and 50% in my aural, quite happy with my oral one as we had it marking like the Leaving Cert and a French person doing them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,031 ✭✭✭johnk123

All my exams are LC standard mostly from past papers and last for 2 hours. Although in most subjects, we have done parts of the exam already as there wouldn't be time in the actual exam. i.e Irish Oral and Aural and the same for German.

I had Physics(HL) monday(got our results back today and got 92%, so happy there), Tuesday had English and Irish, today had Maths(HL) today and found it tricky, but doable. I'd be aiming for an A, but realistically i think a B would be fine.

As for tomorrow, its chemistry and accounting....... and topping it all off..... German on the friday. Then we're off for the whole summer! CAN'T WAIT!!

Can't wait to start studying for the Leaving Cert that is! :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,893 ✭✭✭Davidius

I didn't study enough for these exams. We had maths today and while I'm sure I did well I made some absolutely retarded mistakes. I had only copped on 5 mins later. Once glance at inequalities and coordinate geometry and it probably would have been near perfect. Also forgot about 2^n(a+irootk) when doing the last one and gave it in as a+ibrootk.

Physics was a bit meh, I did alright I'm sure. Probably failed Irish and made a bollocks of English.

Chemistry and History tomorrow and French on Friday. I generally do well in History by just reading the book and remembering it but it'll take me a couple of hours to go over everything and have it in my head. Chemistry should be OK. As for French, no idea.

English and Chemistry left tomorrow! Really not bothered with English. Trying to go over some Montague but I'm just that not bothered. I've pretty much started to lose hope. Chemistry will be a nice way to end it though and then summer!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,534 ✭✭✭Dman001

I thought I did pretty good in the exams. So far I got 84% in Maths and 78% in LCVP.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,739 ✭✭✭Jello

Finally they're all finished and we're free for the summer! :D

Had English today, went ok, then Geography which was grand and a nice one to finish up with. I definitely failed Maths and maybe Physics, otherwise I'd say I passed everything.

    Now, to get drunk!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,590 ✭✭✭Pigwidgeon

finished today with economics and geography which i totally messed up. wasnt clear that we had to do 3 long questions and i only did 2! :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 484 ✭✭happydayz182

Macbeth - 3 pages of even worse bull ****!!
    Comparative - I think I wrote a ****ing summary :o

I only used one quote in the whole exam, "Is this a dagger I see before me" :D
