This is a reality of the cold hard data.

Any chance at a look at that data? (not that I'm saying it doesn't exist, I'd just be interesting in looking at it)

I've practically given up on bookies at this stage. Exchanges being far more suitable for my "needs"

I can see where the OP is coming from but I know a few people that live this way and its all good until you just get unbelieavable unlucky. I remember one of these guys lashing €12k or so on Moscow Flyer during his great days when he was 1/4 and he fell..... sick

That kind of proves the point KaG1888,
MF at 1/4 it pretty odds on. Will almost always win. Alot will lash big money on it as it is "guaranteed".
But odds of 1/4 on mean that the bookies expect it to win only about 70-80% of the time, in that form it doesn't look as much a cert.

Unfortunately it's not my material to distribute and it isn't freely available. But it's a very dry read anyway.

What about the bookies knocking people back?

A certain bookie limited my bets after I won a modest amount. I thought you'd have to be winning tens of thousands before it would happen, but I was winning small sums. My betting patterns were consistent, but that's no reason to limit my stakes. I'm talking less than 5K here over a considerable length of time. Hardly high roller stuff.

If you were a high roller they probably wouldn't have done anything. You are not worth anything to them as a low roller who is winning consistently with small bets. Limiting your bets in order to just get rid of you doesn't come at much of a cost to them because they are never gonna make much from you and people like you are a minuscule number.

No, not yet anyway, but I'm in California so that's why the time is weird.

Probably not, was there a few weeks ago and went through a lot of cash (damn free jack Daniels :)). I may change my mind though.

You should have a bash at one of the side events anyway - you could give one of the more bizarre bracelet speeches, explaining how casinos are bad for a citys economy, problem gambling has been exacerbated by the Internet etc.
They'd probably cut it out of the highlights program though. :)
