wont boot at all in a ds3p, reboots after 2 seconds, board supports p-d
boots in a 650i, but after windows loading display goes and windows does not boot

Yeah DS3p has latest bios but no go - literally turns on for a split second then off again. Works with other cpu's.

Works in my 650i though, just had to remove one of my gts's as it wouldn't boot with both in?

All sorted now. Using the p-d for now in my main machine and flogging the quad in the other....tried out cod4 for the laugh, down from 60fps to 20fps on max settings....ick.
