Hi, I took up poledancing a few months ago, love it! Ive seen gyms in England and the US that have Poles installed and wondered if anyone has seen them in any gyms here, dont have the room for a pole at home :(

I have a Pole at home. His name is Rościsław. I make up for the lack of space by storing him in a dungeon.

I can just imagine a gym with a pole. Hot girls in their tight little lycra gear spinning around the pole. Every man in the place just sitting/standing around gawping and getting nothing done. It's bad enough when that video with the scantily clad girls playing football comes on MTV Dance! :D

aye, the only workout that would get done would require super tiny barbells...

I know Jackie Skelly's in Navan has them and pole dancing classes too. Most places have them removable so they can take them down after the classes and use the studio for other things. Pole dancing class have taken off over here too and there are more and more places doing them.

I know it's odd but when I hear "pole-dancing classes" I'm always turned off because I imagine them full of 40-something housewives. Probably because the only person I've ever known who has wanted to take these classes was older and a size 22. (We've been shopping, that's how I know her size.) That put me off (!)

haha understandable, tho most of the girls in my class wudnt be older than 30 id say, all fairly attractive too, n the instructor is a lash! :D

Sorry, no boys allowed! Not in our class anyway. But when you think about it, strength is different between men n women, not being sexist thats just the way we're built. So maybe a womens class wouldnt be enough for a man to get a proper workout, though Im sure watchin the ladies would be enough to make em sweat! LOL
