Ok so what in your life has changed since you joined Boards?

I had my house, was married and had our first child before I signed up but since coming on here 3 years ago I've been made redundant, gotten a new job and had baby number 2. Made some good mates on here gotten more involved in my "hobbie", filmed a pilot for tv and am organising a big convention for this year .... life is good.

So whats changed in your life?

Nothing much has changed. My hair might be tiny bit longer. I must get that cut this week. I'll update you on how that goes. :p

Maybe you could request a new forum for this project?

    Since I joined here...

I started college, dropped out, worked in a crappy call center and then/now a better job with several girlfriends in there somewhere. Oh yeah, and the people on the instruments forum did nothing for my spending habits, I've bought a lot of music gear in the last couple of years. Most of it last year.

I've also grown a beard (almost 6 months now!) and I'm now trying to get a beard forum (PLUG PLUG PLUG SHOW SUPPORT - check sig ;) ).

a lot actually! for me anyway. i've been on here for two years and since i joined ive moved back to NZ, started my degree, nearly dropped out (thank christ i didnt in hindsight 'cause i love it now), did a lot of things to do with my course that i had never done before, had a lot of personal growth (cheeeeesy but true), seen the most plays/musicals/opera/ballet than i had ever seen in my whole life (thanks to the best job evah)...so it's been two years of sh!t but it's also been amazing (hows that for schizophrenic) so im glad i went through it! in a warped kind of way.

I was a quake playing kid when I joined(luckily everyone else was as well) so lots changed.

Over 9 years ish these are mostly lifestyle changes:

Went through a few long term girlfriends, still with one.
Grew facial hair, grew about 2 foot.
Moved out of the house and went to college, made some really good friends.
    Became very cynical.
    Moved House again.
No longer play computer games (maybe once a month if even that)
Learned to surf, travelled a good bit of the world.
Now have several(3-5) foreign holidays a year which I never had before, not a home bird anymore.
    Moved house again.
    Surf most weeks nowadays.
    Moved house again.
    No longer cynical, turned positive.
Started working in IT, got a better job, got a better job again.

    Wow, too much to put in one post. I joined way back when in 2001, hard to believe that was 7 year's ago. To give a brief synopsis though;

Left school, lived in Munich briefly, got my first IT job, had several breakups, grown a bit, moved to the US and made good on my promises of world domination(in the works).

    Grew a beard.
    Shaved a beard.
    Drank some beer.

That I bought using a fake ID.

Well, I was 16 when I joined and I’m now 25, so quite a lot.

    What’s changed:

    - I’ve gone from being a 16 year old school-kid who was mad into everything computers and was nailed on to having a career in computing (after a CS degree), to being a 25 year old adult(ish) with an oirts degree and a masters in ‘what am I supposed to do now?’. Still haven’t figured out the answer to that bit yet by the way, but I’ll let ye know once I’ve dealt with my one-third ‘I’m an adult(ish) now and I’m not sure I like it’ life crisis.
    - Family configuration has changed considerably. I shall not elaborate for everyone’s sake.
    - About a foot in my height and probably about five stone in weight.
    - I’ve gone from worrying I’ll be ugly for my whole life to worrying that I’m not making the most of my pretty face and that I’ll miss it when I’m old and plastic surgery ridden.
    - I no longer use smilies on the end of sentences when I am being sarcastic or humorous. Takes away the fun.
    - Moved abroad. Thought a new country would solve all of my problems. It didn’t, so I moved back. Now thinking of moving abroad again.

Well its only 6 months for me...

A lot of exciting and wonderful things have happened.

Best of all for me would have to be the following..

I gave up the smokes on December the 1st and am still off them!!:)

    I am pregnant again!!:D:D

From 15 to 22. Its been a while, probably the most important years of my life. Any memories before that usually need to be jogged.

    Did my Leaving Cert
    Got my degree
    Got my masters
Did lots of exams in between (and after)
Got my ideal job in my ideal firm (yet to start)
    Did some travelling
    Met lots of new people
    Worked various jobs for money
Have had various interests I've taken up and abandoned (CS, Poker)

I'm pretty happy about what i've achieved so far.
