There's confusion about the countdown on the clock with some people saying that the that midnight thing is LA time meaning we get it at 8am.

I had it counting down and for some reason when it reached zero it began all over again witha 22 hour countdown.

I want my god damned 2 minutes of X-Files trailer. I had planned to head into town but decided to stay in and watch the trailer at Midnight.

This sucks. Refreshed it again. The music is starting to annoy me now but I dont want to turn it off or turn it down in case I miss anything.

I would imagine it will appear at midnight American time (although what American time is up for debate).

But seems a bit weird that the countdown is at zero - unless it has something to do with your IP / region clock? Wouldn't make much sense though.

Ah I'm leaving it. I will check tomorrow. Its gonna be out in July anyway so we won't have to wait long before the trailer will be on the tv!!!

Just watched it on IGN. Not quite sure how to feel yet. I'm seeing a lot more old man and a lot less Mulder & Scully than I'd have wanted but I guess overall the trailer is cause for optimism. Roll on August 1st.

Oh dear - that looks terrible.

As someone who loved the show when it came out originally (well the first two or three seasons anyway) I'm finding it hard to get anyway excited about the new film and the trailer just confirms my feeling that it's going to be a complete dud .

As for the plot, this was posted on Dark Horizons:

When a group of women are abducted in the wintry hills of rural Virginia, the only clues to their disappearance are the grotesque human remains that begin to turn up in snow banks along the highway.

With officials desperate for any lead, a disgraced priest's questionable visions send local police on a wild goose chase and straight to a bizarre secret medical experiment that may or may not be connected to the women's disappearance. Its a case right out of The X-Files.

But the FBI closed down its investigations into the paranormal years ago. And the best team for the job is ex-agents Fox Mulder and Dr. Dana Scully, who have no desire to revisit their dark past. Still, the truth of these horrific crimes is out there somewhere...and it will take Mulder and Scully to find it.

reading that they want to do another one in 2012 that actualy date of the alien invasion from the series, so this is set up for that more on the hybrids stuff i suspect.

That's an awful poster - makes it look very ordinary. It's the sort where you'd expect to see Mulder running in slow motion from an explosion...

I think the first poster was just perfect. It had everything an X-File poster needs. Mulder and Scully, a hint of mystery and of course a bloody big X.

I really hate that poster.. it reminds me of a poster for one of the 'Pirate Of The Caribbean' sequels.. it was like that with main characters in the foreground and people in the background.
