Was a member for a time.

They'd a good few Concept IIs while I was there. They fell into a bit of disrepair (monitors iirc) but for the most part very good nick.

Nice pool and sauana facilities. Pool is 20m tho, don't know if that would aggravate anyone who's used to a 25m. But very clean, very nice.

Weights. Couple of Olympic bars and racks. Good amount of dumbbells as well. Though overall the area is a tad small.

Can't comment on the instructors as I never had dealings with them.

Don't know if it gets crowded around peak times (I used to use it in off peak times)

And no, shameless plug - we're up the road!

Hi Jake, Been a member myself up there for the last 18months.

I wrote this review on it last year:

WestPark - Tallaght on the Greenhills Road

I have been a member now for the last 8months, and I have to say its the best gym I've been a member of. I was previously in Eden(now closed down), and Jackie Skelly's(Parkwest - always full, and found it to be very dirty).

Fee's are alright, works out for me about €650 a year. Its a fairly new gym, about 2years old, but it had moved from another area of Tallaght to this new location.

They've an excellent pool, a stainless steel pool but its only about 1.5m deep, think its about 20m long.

Upstairs is the cv equipment, and there's about 25 treadmills. About 20 exercise bikes, about 12 rowers, and about 15 cross trainers. There's set weights on this level too, but upstairs are most of the weight machines, and the free weights. The weights level is split into Gent's and Ladies weights. Was having a look this morning, and they've a nice selection of dumbbells, think it goes up to about 50kg.

Most of the staff are very helpful, and the gym is always clean.
They've their own site, and it has 360 views of the gym on it:
    www.westpark.ie

The staff themselves are very helpful, any time I've ever had to deal with them. Not too sure about peak times, but I've mates who go in the evenings and say they never have any trouble getting a machine. I go myself in the mornings, and it's never packed.
