Dislocated knee

Hi guys dislocated my knee last night playing soccer. Probably the most pain ive ever been in in my entire life. Im in a half cast thing now which supports the back of my leg and extends up to my groin area. Im also obviously enough on crutches after having the knee popped back into place. Im due to see the specialist knee doctor anyways on Tuesday where i should get the cast off and find out what the next course of action is. Ive been looking up on the internet for details of what to expect and it seems to be something to do with an immobiliser for a couple of weeks and then a brace seem to be the norm for treating this injury. Just wondering if anyone here has any experience of this type of injury and if ill be able to walk and have full use of my leg with an immobiliser so that i can return to work next Tuesday?

Sorry Sgt Slaughter, we're not really in a position here to be offering that kind of information even if it is only anecdotal. My guess will be that the next course of action will be regular trips to a physio/ sports therapist and they can advise you best as to the timeline you can expect for mobility recovery. Best of luck.
